Which original’ Green Lantern? Abin Sur passed the ring to Hal Jordan. Hal Jordan became Parallax, who destroyed Coast City.
The closest situation that happened was when the Alpha Lanterns (cybernetic power Lanterns whose authority can never be questioned) killed off the remaining prisoners who killed a LOT of Green Lanterns. Two Earth GL’s questioned their motivation but the writer put the situation of killing publicly the GL enemies as a question...not as a lecture.
It was in Green Lantern Corps...um, I forgot which number and I’m lazy to look for it because I’m at work.
