" I believe I've been to far. Anyone else been to far?" Hillary claimed she come to far, and that she warn't no ways tarred.
I would thing she should have been tarred.

Good afternoon. I flunked typing in high school. I simply could not hold my hands in the approved position (and still can't), it hurt so much. Still, I took a typing test ca. 1991 and did 45 WPM. But the tester laughed when he saw my hand positions.
Travel day tomorrow; off to the D.C. area. At least I think I am -- I can't tell if I simply have an unusually bad case of travel jitters or if I am coming down with flu. Travel jitters don't usually affect brain function, but the flu precursors don't usually last more than 24 hours before symptomatic onset.

I have Officially given Tom his assignment: to find a pleasant place to live, with as little wind as possible. Extra points if it’s English-speaking and scenic. He has until the end of next week (the 5th?) to finish.
He’ll get a prize if he does a good job. He has to produce a brief report about the overall climate, living conditions, and so on.

"to far"?
Where does that fit in the range of hither, thither and yon? (And why did we ever lose that for mere "here" and "there"?)
Can't remember if Gaelic has just the two ("sin" and "seo", used much), or if there was a third, equivalent to "yon," used infrequently.

"I have Officially given Tom his assignment: to find a pleasant place to live, with as little wind as possible." I'd offer up Venus again as a pleasant place to live, but that wind requirement knocks it out of the running.
Venus has lots of wind. Solar energy too.

‘Face likes solar energy, but she’s objecting to wind.
Tom has a geography course and a history-and-geography unit this year, so this will be a useful exercise for him. He can find wind data on the National Weather Service website, and then look for other qualities in his atlas.

Never use the stuff myself.

I thought Zicam (sp?) was for colds? Have tried it, and previously other zinc remedies, but personal results are inconclusive.

Not sure of the spelling myself. It’s advertised on Rush’s show. He swears by it.
As I have often stated, I don’t believe in getting sick; I think it’s unhealthy.

LOL, can't argue with your conclusion.
But traveling a lot and staying healthy is not a likely combination; who knows what I *might* someday transport from hither to yon, or vice versa?

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
You’re the modern version of a sailor on the wooden ships.

Youre the modern version of a sailor on the wooden ships. A cute rule but I do not completely agree with it. Some things simply weaken you, even if you survive them. (That you might now be armed against the new threats is the counter.)
Just count your blessings that you survived, and pass on the knowledge so acquired.

Much of the old-time advice we received from our predecessors is contradictory.
The more the merrier! But, too many cooks spoil the broth.

The least wind area would be inland areas protected by mountains. I would check out Walla Walla, Wash. Not only is it scenic but it is just fun to say the name. Rancho Cucamonga is fun to say but has Santa Ana’s up the wazoo.
