Either get OBL this year, or get the heck outta there.
Obama has sent MORE troops to Afghanistan than Bush. If you have evidence to the contrary, please provide it. Perhaps the word insane better applied to someone who supports Obama’s policy of escalation. BTW, where do you intend to get the money for your “full-measure” war. We’re broke and can’t continue to police the world.
What is your point in posting these pictures. I’m against Islamo fascism. That’s why I don’t want to continue to bail out a corrupt government under Karzai which makes it a CRIME for converting to Christianity.
Karzai won’t be in control much longer.
We are fighting the Taliban and Al Qaida so they won’t
attack America and all the other coutries they have attacked.
More people were killed on 9/11 than on 7 Dec 1941.
Several of my relatives who are in Afghanistan right now and who have also served in Iraq understand what is at stake
Another relative in AF Intel recently in Africa knows first
hand about Al Qaida in that area.
This enemy and this war is not like the old days, throw prople at the enemy, bomb the entire place and go home.
Living in San Diego with the largest concentration of military, I have talked with many over time who can tell first hand what is going on and understand why we are there.
Since we have been there, women can vote, go to school, hold jobs they couldn’t before.
Well Captain... the basic reason for posting the pictures is that your supposed to not think. Get sad. Then get really really mad. Then you’ll support whatever to get those terrorist bastards. Even if it means not actually getting them and letting most of them set up shop across the “border” in a tribal region that no one is allowed to invade so they can completely harass both our troops and the local population thereby destroying our chances of making a democracy, which is also now the new main reason we are there, and keep putting out video tapes making fun of us for not catching them.
> In more than 2000 years, nobody has conquered that country, nobody. The Russians went all out and even they failed.
Because we sent the Muj Redeye and Stinger missles, thus giving them a chance against Soviet aircraft. Before we did, they were on the verge of defeat. Also, the Russians previously and successfully conquered Turkestan, which was a similar region to Afghanistan.
Do you think we shouldn’t have gone in after 9/11, and if you do, what would you have wanted to do?
Yeah, Karzai may be a bum, but at the time, he was probably the best we could hope for. When it comes to Afghanistan, I suspect that we’d have to be very careful.
Nuggets of Truth In Death Panel Rhetoric (Palin Derangement Syndrome yet he admits she's right!)
Palin PING!
Anyone on or off the Palin ping, write me.
Palin is on it.
Let’s don’t forget that Afghanistan and the Taliban gave harbor to AQ for their attacks on the US on 9 11.
This is not Obama’s War. It is our war and our boys fighting it.
O.K. then, let's just pull out and hand the entire country back over to the Taliban. That should make you happy.
Which is why Palin is the ONLY person that I consider worthy to lead us out of the evil forest that hussein has abandoned us in.

It appears there are lots of Klingons in this debate; I’ll offer you some support. How many thousands of terrorists have we killed since 9-11. I am sure we can claim a revenge of sorts at the very least. No we didnt get OBL but let the CIA do that. We did defend ourselves after 9-11; even Reagan pulled troops from Lebanon after the 200+ dead when he saw it just was no longer worth it. The Afghan war may become another government program run amok. I think the USA has made its point: attack us and we will blow you out of the water. We did kill thousands and bomb them right? We just didnt wring our hands and beg the UN to help, did we? We did defend ourselves honorably and to Vietnamize this war would not be a wrong move. Yes, Captain, we don’t have the money. Short of dropping a few nuclear bombs on the place, I don’t see how we win this war. Oh, send 500k men, announce victory and 5 years later it’s a stew of Islamic fascism.
Too many conservatives will do nothing but have war, just like Libturds throw billions after poverty blah blah. There are practical realities which at some point trump theoretical considerations. Like, the real threat to this country is not Islam, but the National Socialism of the democratic party.
1. Tighten security in the USA; build the wall along the mexican border
2. No more visas for Muslims; send those we have home early now (but who will be the our doctors when socialized medicine starts)
Va RR,
I am a monthly donor to SP and will continue to be so. I have defended her against FR naysayers. I recognize your name as a stalwart defender of SP and I appreciate that. I know it is possible to have an occasional honest disagreements with other good conservatives. The disagreement we have is not a cloak for Islamofascism AT ALL. At this point, 8 years after 9-11, after presumably thousands of Taliban and al-Qaeda terrorists dead and hundreds of sancturies destroyed, there are other priorities. I personally believe the war has been successful but it is reaching a point of diminshing returns. If you can not sell the electorate on it, you risk 2010 elections, and the primary problem in this country is National Socialism, and it must be defeated. Political capital can not be squandered on a war where we have already achieved much success. No we didnt conquer Islam but there are only about 1 billion of them so good luck on ever doing that.
Obama is more pro-war than Bush? Thanks for the laugh.
I love Sarah, but the healdine is misleading. Sarah Palin didn’t write this letter - it was written by the Foreign Policy Initiative.

Cute drive by. I pointed out that Obama has sent more troops to Afghanistan than Bush via the Obama surge. If you think this is not true, please provide FACTS to back up your case. Can you?
The headline is not misleading. Sarah was one of the signers (therefore endorsed the letter). The other signers included the usual neocon suspects, Max Boot, William Kristol, Robert Kagan, and David Frum. Some us have warned for quite some time that Sarah is not what she seemed. That should have been apparent when Billy Kristol became her debate coach.
The "Taliban" is a loose collection of clan groups, tribes, and drug lord factions, not so different from Karzai's base. Whatever group "wins" will probably fall apart into opportunistic blood feuds, relgious oppression, and corruption. Such is the story of Afghanistan for the past two thousand years.
I respect your position. I initially liked Palin too....but as long Billy Kristol is her main foreign policy advisor IMHO you are wasting your money. The neocons always seem to win. Now, they apparently have BOTH Palin and Obama under their sway.
Getting OBL is not going to stop the war..
