Probably because BHO doesn’t see it as benefiting him.
Only a few thousand people really care about this issue.
And only a few hundred are really enmeshed in it.
I would hazard a guess that they (BHO & gang) see this issue as a wide brush that they can use to paint their opposition (the GOP) as being misguided and irrational.

Ahhhh yeah, you mean, just as misguided as the truthers ? or less misguided as the truthers ?
Now if Obama does not fire Van Jones, then, Obama also agrees with the truthers.
The truthers argument is far more far fetched ... and the birthers argument is closer to fact.
