We'll likely get there almost as quickly, maybe more quickly and permanently, without the armed revolution. although most likely would be that the economic collapse would help precipitate the armed revolution.
I am optimistic about the survivability of the Americna system.
And armed revolution has a pretty poor track record as far as history is concerned.

"The law of nations" -- today's "international law" -- isn't a fixed code of laws, and in a matter like this, it probably doesn't prevail over the laws that nations make for themselves.
You can certainly argue that the law of nations -- or Vattel's ideas about it -- prevail over US law and the common law, but judges probably won't agree.
Most of the founders were familiar with the common law, and Blackstone, an important commentator of the common law doesn't have the same definition of "natural born" that Vattel does.
And herein lies the problem with B.O.

I read it. You are never going to stop defending your view that he is eligible when the courts have never fully determined what natural born is. Many of us feel the reason for the term natural born was so that we didn’t have a CIC with divided loyalties.
How anyone can say that obumbass doesn’t have divided loyalties is beyond me. He proves it almost daily and he certainly proved his mindset when he wrote his books which glorify his father, who he never knew and degrade his white grandmother that had to raise his sorry as*.
He identifies with foreigners far more than he does Americans and constantly apologizes to them. He has no love for or loyalty to America, and I’m sorry you don’t see that and continue to defend him.

I scrolled quickly through the Collins article and found one very interesting piece that potentially could knock out one of the arguments I (and some others) have made. We’ve been arguing to date that citizenship is passed through the father (thus the Wilson and Hoover argument ‘mother not born in US’ does not hold water; both fathers were US citizens).
However, in the Collins article, while he confirms that citizenship is passed through the father if the child is legitimate, if the child is not legitimate, which many suspect in the present case, citizenship passes through the mother.
Need a lawyer to figure it all out .. actually, need a team of lawyers. Or good UCONN law students ;)

Assuming, for the sake of arguement, your statement is true then wouldn't that mean that Obama hasn't been shown to be ineligible? And if not, then by law he is assumed to be eligible?
