What I love is how in this thread and the previous one these members of the “Reality Based Community” who are soooooo much smarter and more in touch with the “real world” than we neanderthal conservatives have demonstrated that many of them have no idea how TV ratings work.

I'm worse off as Comcast in my area kept MSNBC on basic cable. If only we were that lucky. We don't get it in HD.
I wonder if anybody ever explained to the people running MSNBC that it's supposed to be a profit deal, not a showcase for leftists who few people want to see.

I think that's a false positive for FOX. Just like Limbaugh's numbers don't show the truth. Lots and lots of people who watch FOX and listen to Limbaugh don't agree with them at all and are watching just to hear the latest craziness. Yeah, right. The leftists would no more do that than a conservative would subject themself to Olbermann or Madow or Air America just to listen to the craziness for a long enough period of time to skew the ratings.

As Cincy talk-show host Mike McConnell has explained the reason FOX and conservative talk shows kill lib shows is because conservatives pay attention (to events) and libs don’t. The plain truth is that conservatives are far more aware of what’s going on in the world and naturally listen to and watch shows that tell them what’s going on. Most libs are only concerned about their next hit on the bong. Learning things, like facts, is not in their nature. That’s why they’re libs.
