My mother never cared about Mother’s Day, because we’ve just celebrated her birthday (5/4). So I’m not in the habit, either. Anyway, every day is Mother’s Day when you have James!
I hope you have a nice day with a good sit in the sun!
It will be a nice day. I will think of all the mother’s I know and be grateful for their presence in my life! And that includes you!!
How can a day be bad with so much going on?
Mother’s Day, my daughter’s birthday, and my birthday all in the same week! Life doesn’t get any better! And in two weeks, it will be my son’s birthday! Mother’s Day is a good day!
Happy Birthday!
Too soon, but thanks!
When I went to breakfast this morning, I took photos of my 50th birthday. (Everyone was in black!)
It just seemed like the thing to do. The “before” and “after” are pretty stark, since CFIDS took over. But it was a fun breakfast.
Nice that you got to go out to breakfast! I’m looking forward to being 50.
Breakfast was done here at the clubhouse. One guy (from New Joisey) put it on, and did it all himself. He’s a pretty darn good cook.
I was lucky to sit at a table with people who had acute senses of humor, so it was pretty fun. And FREE!!
Fifty was good. I spent $700+ dollars, including renting a restaurant, hiring a DJ and having it professionally decorated. I even had “black border” invitations on gray stock.
I’ve never regretted the expense, and never will. It was fun!
I’ll scan some of the photos and send them, if you’d like.
I’d love to see your pictures!
It looks like we’re about to have a thunderstorm again. The dragons have gone in their holes! Susan ate a couple of mice this afternoon: she wanted the small ones instead of the big ones.
OK. I’ll scan them and email them. And let you know when they are sent. (Give me 30 minutes!)
No problem. I’m going to put my feet up for a few minutes.
DC’s not going to be happy with you... *\;-)
Then DC shoulda been here to scoop it up!!
LOL!
Bright sun and cool here. Went down and worked in the woods a while. Saw two mosquitos -- looks like it's going to be a bad year.
Just got a call from LoM, she's coming home sooner than expected. Her flight to Portland was running an hour late; she wouldn't have made her connection there so they put her on a direct flight to Seattle, arriving around 5 instead of 8 PM.
OK...I sent it. I hope I have the right email addy....
If you don’t get it “soon” let me know so I can resend it.
:o])
Well, woods are good. Mosquitos aren’t. I really try to stay indoors when they are out and about. Mostly because I have such awful reactions to their bites.
We have a lot more to worry about here than H1N1 (Heiney Flu.) We also have West Nile Virus. And a whole bunch of things that the MSM want us to panic about.
*sheesh*
I’m so glad I grew up when playing outside was the best way to go, and folks never worried about salmonella from the cutting boards, or worms from the soil, or DDT on the fruit and vegetables we ate....
For sure, I’m too old to worry about all that stuff, now!!
People got worms and salmonella (and malaria, polio, etc.) in the Old Days. That was life. Now a lot of people expect life to be effortless, germ free, and risk free. Sorry, y’all, but it’s still a big, buggy world out there!
Yup, and besides we were all going to vanish in a big flash one day...
Well, she’s on her way at 24100’ and climbing. I better go get ready...
Oh, right. I forgot about that.
Yep. And I’m not about to clean everything so well we could all eat off it.
I’m not “germ free” and don’t want to be. If the germs in my house don’t kill me, how bad can they be?
That depends on which Bible you read. According to some, only 144,00 will make it to the Pearly Gates unscathed. According to others, we’re all gonna DIE!!!
And then there are the Muslims. In 50 years, they will have conquered Europe, North America and most of the Western world, simply because they have eight kids to the Lefties’ 1.8.
Somebody (besides you, TC) better get busy having lots of babies! The Dims are going to abortion us all out of existence.
