“And thats after Hughley said the Republican National Convention was literally look like Nazi Germany, and called Steele a plastic reaction to Obama by them (the Nazi Republicans who dont care or know what Blacks are all about, or where they live).”
Thanks for posting the entire thing. Did you notice though that Steele seemed to agree with Hughley after he made those comments about Nazi Republicans? It was very strange. I am still not impressed with Steele during that interview. He did get a couple of good points in about the city of Baltimore..but that’s about it.

RNC Chairman Michael Steele will hold a press conference tomorrow before participating as a panelist at the State of the Black Union, hosted by well-known leader of the African-American community, Tavis Smiley. Where is our "Black Union"? I never heard we had one.

I watched it all and while I agree the original clip was perhaps too short to get the essence of it, Steele did a lot of pandering to the host and the other guest. Yes, he tried to explain what brought him to be a republican (since he was 17) and he had a few good points (Baltimore schools and Baltimore dems) but it wasn't really enough. At one point, Hughley said the RNC convention looked like “a nazi convention”...and Steele nods ‘yes’? WT?!
All in all I don't think it bode well for him.

When I hear Michael Steele speak he just doesnt seem to have any FIRE in his belly. That disturbs me a bit.

That’s what jumped out at me too! It was as bad, imho, as his comments about Rush. I was one of the Freepers trying to give Steele some room to find his leadership style...but if this is it...we are in some serious trouble.

How can you not be a fan of Rush, but think that speech yesterday was great? That speech was who Rush is, every day on the radio, every time he is interviewed, every time he expresses an opinion. I like Rush, but I'm not a big fan because he carried water for W for 8 years, while he was wrecking the GOP and the economy.

This was live TV. How often have you had a similar experience?
He seemed to go out of his way to be polite and held his tongue for a while, but then regrouped and made his point that Hughley was wrong and why. Answering such a falsehood is not sound bite stuff. It takes time and organization. To hear the answer, takes time and organization, too.

2 against one. Live TV. A facade of politeness on the part of all, with an outrageous bunch of statements.
I have a nervous laugh at the most inappropriate times. Hopefully Steele will learn to react more quickly, but he pulled himself together rather quickly considering the fact that he was told he was nothing but the Republican reaction to Obama.

What kind of insulting comment is that? I have ADHD and sit and listen to rush all the time and get everything he says.

I viewed the interview. Steele, without ambiguity, stated that Limbaugh's speech was “incendiary and ugly”. Period. Steele, without an iota of doubt, meant to impugn Limbaugh's remarks.

Yup.
I was hopeful when Steele was named, but decided the other day, when I received a plea in the mail for my “support”, that I would wait and see....
It sure didn’t take long : /
We need to just go ahead and regroup, because it is increasingly clear, that the majority of the bunch that is in DC, has no intention of serving the American people. Their entire focus is upon securing their power.

As I said, it’s no wonder the media won the election. We carry their water for them, and use it to drown our own.

Now that I have have had a chance to watch the replay, I saw nothing that would cause Rush's speech to be called incendiary.
He was spot on and he took some well-deserved shots at the Libs. So what?
If Steele is looking for comments that are indendiary, he should tell the moderates in the Party to quit ragging on Reagan and conservative thinking, as Rush suggests.
To: hocndoc
but he pulled himself together rather quickly considering the fact that he was told he was nothing but the Republican reaction to Obama. Yes, he did. He did well talking about himself or any attack on the reason why he is the head of RNC. But when it came to defending Republicans/Conservatives he failed...and that's his job!
