My verdict: He is too wound up.
I can't remember a less engaging speech by a politician. From the moment he walked towards the camera with his arm barely moving to his dumb Katrina stories to his bedtime-story-for-a-tot speaking style to his lack of specifics to his nervous demeanor.....the speech was awful.
This is a visual media age. Sure, you might pay attention to the particulars of what he's saying (which he still could have done much better on), but a huge percentage of the population pays more attention to the speaker's presence and a few buzzwords or slogans. His presence sucked and he didn't leave any memorable lines for the undecideds to remember.
I'm sick to death of Republicans being flim-flam squids. We need someone with some f'in spirit like Palin was showing before the RNC knee-capped her.
The substance of his speech was what Americans needed to hear!
