Compare this speech at the 2008 NRA's annual meeting May 23rd:

My verdict: He is too wound up.

Jindal's speech was awful. And his touting of tax cuts in Louisiana neglects to mention that he had to be browbeaten into accepting them by the LA GOP.

I can't remember a less engaging speech by a politician. From the moment he walked towards the camera with his arm barely moving to his dumb Katrina stories to his bedtime-story-for-a-tot speaking style to his lack of specifics to his nervous demeanor.....the speech was awful.

This is a visual media age. Sure, you might pay attention to the particulars of what he's saying (which he still could have done much better on), but a huge percentage of the population pays more attention to the speaker's presence and a few buzzwords or slogans. His presence sucked and he didn't leave any memorable lines for the undecideds to remember.

I'm sick to death of Republicans being flim-flam squids. We need someone with some f'in spirit like Palin was showing before the RNC knee-capped her.

The substance of his speech was what Americans needed to hear!
