At first I was catching major heat for my position concerning Rush and the rest of the talking heads re: COLB.
I stopped listening to him after over 18 years because of COLB. IMHO he has lost all creds. I’ve also stopped listening to the rest of them and Faux News.

The facts are, he IS going to be sworn in
***That is a classic fallacy, the argument from silence. The silence in this case is the silence of the future. If you really knew the future you’d be the wealthiest man on the planet.
and there is nothing that can be done about it,
***Sure there is, and your defeatist attitude betrays the need for you do step two and examine your own sanity. Insanity comes from having no hope.
that has not already been done.
***Way off on that one. The issue is squarely in front of the SCOTUS, which has scheduled Berg v Obama for TWO CONFERENCES, not just one. As far as I can tell, this is extremely rare. Congressman Billybob pointed out that having one case forwarded for conference to SCOTUS colleagues is about a 1/200 chance. That makes having 3 cases have this happen is a 1/8M chance, and with 2 schedule dates & previous denials of the applications involved, I’m certain this issue is absolutely unique in American jurispredence history before the SCOTUS.
Plenty of the states will require proof of elegibilty by 2012 that it will be impopssibile for him to run again, so why not get it all cleared up now. Is the supreme court so dofus it will let him get away with his scam?
yesssss
A special resolution in regards to McCain. But as far as resolutions go, they are a matter of norm. They issue them for a lot of things - to express the "sense" of the Senate. They don't mean anything legally. As an example here is another one they introduced :
S. RES. 612 Expressing the sense of the Senate that President George W. Bush, President Dmitry Medvedev of the Russian Federation, and other participants in the 2008 Group of Eight (G8) Summit in Toyako, Hokkaido, Japan should work together to foster a more constructive relationship,
Of course this is totally meaningless.
Let’s make bumper stickers, signs and t-shirts.
It will be the new rallying cry....
BOGUS-POTUS
BOGUS-POTUS
BOGUS-POTUS!
Ok, let’s do it. !
Obama will usher in a new name for Presidents with no power.
The Impotent Duck Presidency.
It quacks like a duck but cannot reproduce.
Or the Neutered Duck President?
Limp Duck ? !
Any chance something good will happen pre-January 20?
Speaking of January 20, I have to fly that day and am already dreading being stuck in airports with only CNN, which I’m sure will be 100% swearing in of Hussein. Will have to take a good book — maybe “Sarah”.
It’s beyond me how the SCOTUS sees fit to getting around to considering Phil Berg’s case in conference only 4 days before the inauguration...as if they’d actually do something to slam on the brakes?? WTF!? I’d be utterly shocked if anything good does happen before the 20th.
While in the airport, you might want to just stand up and yell out to whoever is nearby that Hussein is not Constitutionally eligible. I know you won’t do it, but I urge you to do so anyway. :)
How do you think I feel? We live in DC and we're going to be stuck with hundreds of thousands of out-of-towner Obama fans. Can't even go drinking to dull the pain, since the bars are going to be full of them. Guess I'll stay home and drink with the blinds closed or something.
I wonder who is funding this?
Roh!Roh! I don’t think you’ll be posting for a long time buddy.
