Stem cell research will begin again under Obama.

Stem cell research never stopped; embryonic or otherwise. We just weren't pumping taxpayer money into using newly aborted fetuses for pharmaceutical R&D.

Inflammatory headline followed by no actual fight picking. What a disappointment.

Pitt's known for inflammatory headlines that disappoint. Get used to it.

1. My fiancee has Multiple Sclerosis. Two of my friends are diabetic. Stem cell research will begin again under Obama. That may mean huge change for them.

Embryonic stem cells...yet another scam that allows libs to be screechingly self-righteous without accomplishing squat.

Honeybacked Ham

Is that a benburch nickname, kind of like "Fat Che"?

Pitt is straight?! Won’t Kevin Spacey be surprised!

Notice the Space-man sitting at the bar in Roscoe Karns's most excellent graphic up above.

You know, I'm really irate with Fat Che at the moment.

Fat Che recently left Big Jerry's salon, also known as "democratwarrior," for the Rancid Rhodes message board. Fat Che's even an administrator there.

There was talk under the hair-dryers at Big Jerry's salon that the Rancid Rhodes message board accepted "right wingers" as members, and Fat Che popped in to confirm it.

I went over there to sign up. Didn't make any bones about who I am; I'm not the sneaky devious cheating dishonest sort, like Fat Che.

Fat Che rejected my registration.

Honeybacked Ham? We have one of those stores just a few blocks away. Is it really good?

Honeybaked Ham IS really good! A little pricey to get more often than for special occasions, but you get what you pay for. They put a glaze on those babies that is DEE-LISH!

An 8-9 pound half ham costs a little over $50. But for that, you get DAYS of ham, enough for servings for close to 20 people, total. Not too bad, really, if you think about it that way.

When you serve it, do not heat up the whole ham. Take it out of the fridge about 30 minutes before serving. Then, if you want to heat up any, just heat up only the pieces you will eat.

An 8-9 pound half ham.....

So, that's what a "half a ham" is.

I've been wondering about this ever since Thanksgiving of last year, when Chief S itting Bull, the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive, announced he was feeding his very large extended family a "ham and a half" for dinner that day.

I've been wondering about that measurement for thirteen months now, "half a ham."

From Chief S itting Bull's description of the banquet he had prepared, it looked like to me the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive was performing a feat not performed in circa 2,000 years, feeding the multitudes with two fish and six loaves.

Why, all those "international best-seller" books, dontcha know!

And truthout must reach an audience of AT LEAST the tens or twenties.

people into their middle age

William Pitt the Not-So-Younger turned 37 last month (b. November 9, 1971).

Maybe in 2009 Wee Willie will figure out what he wants to do when he grows up.

PJ, did you know that benburch now is a mod for the Randi Rhodes message board? Does he himself post there much, frank? I wonder if that message board would be DUFUable. . . .

Is Randi Rhodes doing a show down there in South Florida nowadays, PJ? Does she have any audience?

I don't know how you guys eat ham, but in my house of six an 8 pound spiral-sliced ham gets two day's use. From the remains, I do get a respectable bean pot that provides my lunch for the next week.

In Colonial America, hams were only salt cured and dried whole. When you served ham, you only cut very thin slices because of the toughness and saltiness of the meat.

At the time, one definition of eternity was "two people and a ham."

And those salted hams hang today in every filling station in Virginia. Cut thin and served on a proper biscuit and you have an amazing breakfast.
