Thank you. I agree. We don’t need these guys. They are what’s wrong with our party now.

The GOP must become more conservative and purer in ideology. Medicare and Social Security should be repealed as they are both socialist.

I would rather lose the next 10 presidential elections than have a RINO or someone who will compromise our principals.

The GOP will do just what it always does when it doesn't control the white house and congress - they'll advocate limited gov't, low taxes and a sensible foreign policy of peace and nonaggression. And if they ever regain power at the national level (demographics say this is doubtful), they'll do just what Jorge Bush and the last republican-controlled congress did - grow gov't on a massive scale, run up the national debt, encourage, allow and facilitate the continuing 3rd world invasion, curtail civil liberties and conduct an insane foreign policy of interference and aggression.

In the unlikely event that the GOP ever regains control at the national level, (most of) you guys will support them, finance them, and call those of us who don't names like Paultard and traitor. If this nation hasn't passed the point of no return (I think it has), you guys will make sure it does next time you get the chance.

You GOP party loyalists should be happy... you got just what you voted for - you supported and voted for the lesser of two evils, and you got evil.

johnboy was the worst candidate who could have been picked. He is to the left of Hillary.

Huck is trying to main stream himself on his show. Ain’t gonna happen.

It will take a strong leader to unify GOP. Fortunately, I don’t see many old liberal men in the GOP, although if they can find one they will promote him.

I am looking to the GOP ladies myself, including Sarah,Mrs. Fred Thompson, Michelle Bachmann, etal.

The party of pepaw is over. Anyone over the age of 58 needs to step away from the party spotlight. And the RINOS have got to go too, including McCain, Romney and especially Huckabee.

This is what I was talking about. As Newt would say, we need solutions.

... when RINO’s move RIGHT, we ought not berate them for having held previously moderate positions. We ought to welcome those who move in our direction.

By stating that "when RINO’s move RIGHT" is exactly what is wrong with Republican moderates and liberals and why they must either be brought under control or just outright purged from the party. One doesn't even need to think too hard to see that if RINO's will move right to get elected that proves that they are coming from the liberal left side of the party and usually returns to the left to govern. This election landslide for the most liberal Democrat to ever run should be proof enough that liberal and moderate Rublicanism is a dismal failure as a concept and philosphy. RINO's must be driven back to the other side if Conservatives don't want to be on the outside looking in for the next few election cycles or as when the left dominated for 40 years before.

RINO's are born losers.

You post a vanity on how we are broke as a party (and I agree)...but then you suggest a RINO to fix it? That isn't a fix...that's doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...and you know what they call THAT.

Please...NO MORE RINO's...and no more of you all who LIKE the RINO's. Don't feed the RINO's. If you want to play with RINO's...I think I need to leave this place after 10 years...because the FR of long ago didn't tolerate RINO's or RINO lovers.

That would be a good first step: No more senators/congresscritters for POTUS. The ONLY reason BHO was able to be elected is he doesn't have 30 years of voting baggage hanging like a millstone around his neck...like he who's name I will not mention (because I can't believe some of you in the earlier primaries nominated this RINO and didn't leave me a conservative choice).

Governors don't have as much baggage. We were idiots to nominate this character.

I wouldn’t draw too many conclusions from this episode...

I wouldn't draw too few.

I have to agree with the assessment that the country doesn’t give a rats ass about bipartisanship or earmarks or pork barrel spending.

These were McCain’s strong suits and nobody gave a damn, at least not compared to blaming the president and his party for the financial situation we’re in.

We are destined to remain a country of two very different parties clawing at each other like cats and dogs. It’s kind of sad in a way, that we will never get along.

But the moderates had their change with John McCain. Free Republic should take heart that the next presidential nominee for the Republicans will certianly be a staunch Conservative.
