I was personally fond of at the end when she talked to Biden and was telling him how great he and Obama were doing.
It is questionable whether it was announced before the debate commission received their information. Other than in some rags devoted to the industry where it was know.
But the Commission it self said it was a conflict of interest and she did not inform them and should have. She was also conveniently unavailable to them prepping for the debate.
If they can’t find an objective moderator from amongst the media, they should just go to the phone book or do townhall. Last night was an obvious affirmative action pick and blatantly biased. Worse, it was known ahead of time and allowed to go on anyway.
On Fox News there was. Briefly, by Brit Hume, BEFORE the nominees came onto the stage. “her forthcoming book”. That’s it, IIRC.
Dems would never object if Rush or Hannity moderated a debate in order to jack up book sales. /s
If the Commission really thought it was a conflict of interest, they would have made an announcement about Ifill's upcoming book at the beginning and end of the debate. Nothing needed to be said other than the title and the publication date.
I was curious if they did so. But, I wasn't expecting it.
How could they have made this announcement. Only Ifill talked and she wouldn’t answer the commissions calls.
They did post on their site it was a conflict.
I refuse to believe there was no representative of the Debate Commission in St. Louis.
Someone should have walked on the stage before the debate and made the announcement.
And then done the same at the end of the debate.
