Don’t forget that in the 1980’s, a Reagan political/campaign opperative was accussed of going to Iran and asking the nutjobs to wait until after the election to release the hostages. This was denied by the Republicans, but the Rats felt this was worthy of congressional investigation and held hearings on it (Carter only got 49 electoral votes, so they had to blame the loss on something and this was it).

Same circumstances just forward a few years, so let’s see if they are true to their beliefs, or if their prinicples are as flexible as one has seen.
