A couple of points. The Romans couldn’t keep the republic. They got an empire when they started punishing their political opponents after they got out of office (that was the real reason behind Caesar’s becoming emperor). The church (both the Catholic and the Orthodox variations) didn’t support democracy. They were just fine with tyranny as long as they had a seat at the table. As to Africa and Islam, to hell with both of them.

It was Christianity, especially after the invention of the printing press and wide distribution of the Bible, that finally tamed the warlords and superstitions of the Europe and is the foundation of the freedom we enjoy today.

Actually, a history of America’s K-12 schools shows that they are of fascist origin, not Marxist. But you do make a good point overall.
Rome’s largest failure was social decay and straying away from what made them successful. They matured and feasted in their immoral behavior to the point corruption moved in and the collapse came.

Mexico has gang warfare in the streets and beheaded bodies are now being dumped in tourist sites. Our culture along the border has already been changing and hispanics will be the majority not so long from now.

There are enough native born liberal/Marxists to stir the pot. How many of Rev. Wright’s congregation would you estimate to be illegals? How many of the protesters at the Republican Convention are illegals? Probably not many.
However, I do agree that the liberal/Marxists ( who are our most serious threat) are more than willing to open the gates to illegal immigration to further their goals.
