"Natural born" simply means he was a citizen from his birth ~ usually on account of his mother's or father's citizenship, and where the birth happened. Several posters have referred to the "law at the time he was born" noting that the law was later changed in the 1970s. It's noteworthy that when the law was changed, it served to clarify the status of all born in similar circumstances who were still living. This happens all the time ~ the old law is repealed and is no longer in effect, and the new law takes over AND it affects everyone alive!
I don't think that is accurate, but I will defer to somebody more versed in the law than I... David?

I’ve read your comment to me three times and it just doesn’t make sense.

So it appears that we are now part of the dark conspiracy that Danielle Allen was talking about. The girl from that think tank that pays her to think about stuff way, way, too high falutin' for us knuckledraggers.
(I keep gettin' that durn' red line under falutin'. Is it 1 L or 2?)

I think that would be admission to the State Bar of Illinois. Now I'm wondering if he took the bar exam. Required for admission. There is also his information
Illinois Registration Status: Voluntarily inactive and not authorized to practice law - Last Registered Year: 2008
He let his registration lasp? .. why?

McCain has losers taking him to court in multiple states questioning his eligibility to run. News Flash: McCain is eligible to run for President. So why should Hussein get special treatment in this area? As set forth above, for the reasons specified, I think the Supreme Court would hold McCain is not eligible to serve as President under Article II, Sec. 1, Par. 4.
Tactically, if I were in charge and had resources to pursue the issue, I would either start and certify a multi state action seeking as a remedy to decertify all Obama's elected delegates and then attempt to consolidate with all of the actions against McCain; or I would attempt to get a state to authorize an original jurisdiction action seeking that remedy on grounds comparable to the equal protection holding in Bush v. Gore.
I think the case plays better politically if you are attacking both of them--this isn't a partisan issue; it is an American Constitutional issue.

A BC is a public record null and void, I’ve gotten copies of other people’s BC’s (at their request) and the copy just had “copy” stamped all over it.
Granted that was before ID Fraud became the menace that it is today, in the past it was no big deal.

I don't see clear evidence that B.O. posted a forged document. I agree, but this is not a court of law. Circumstantially, at least from what I have gleaned over the last couple of days, the certificates on fightthesmears.com and dailykos appear to be derived from the same file, which now has been reported to be a forgery.
I will be interested to see the BHO campaign's response.
To: Plutarch
Using fraudulent, falsified documents is a crime. If you did it in your profession you'd be ignominiously canned. If BO, through his Smears website is pushing false ID, then that is a big deal that leads directly to question his character and credibility. Gee really?
Of course if B.O. is pushing false documents on his website, it's a big deal. I never said that it wasn't.
My point is that from what I've seen on this thread I can't come to the conclusion that B.O. is using forged documents.
It may eventually pan out that he did, but I doubt it.
To: gswilder
To have blanked out the text of the BHO and then replaced those areas with the hatched green pattern, and then have that hatched pattern align so well, would be almost impossible. If that had been done, it would have already been discovered considering the amount of scrutiny the document has gotten. I have used PhotoShop for 10 years extensively. That hatched pattern would be almost impossible to blank out and copy the pattern from another area of the BC. If the background was fairly solid, it would be easy. But that hatched pattern would be very very difficult. If the BC is real, and was scanned, it would not be perfectly flat, and the hatching would not be 100% symtrical across the entire document. That is why many government documents have patterns like that. It makes them hard to manipulate and duplicate. Guess what--one of the first attacks was based on the fact that in the altered areas, the hatch lines fail to line up. Someone else has already demonstrated that flaw.

“if Obama was born outside the US”
*if* ... If a meteor falls into earth on election day ...
would they call the election off?
If Obama’s birth cert is not real, does it even mean anything, since he was bonr in hawaii?
... would that help the Republicans win a majority in Congress in the next election?

The second case could ensure their defeat if McCain decides to use his opponent's lack of qualifications for the job as a campaign issue. Obama would be defeated as surely as Torricelli and Carnahan, you mean?
