Ron Paul wants to abolish the Fed, and, until I see some evidence as to why it is needed, I feel the same way.

If you guys were really serious about being Libertarian then why did you pick someone with the mentality of an abused child to be your candidate? I’ve seen challenged teens that have better social skills.

Jefferson killed the first Fed, Jackson killed the second Fed, Ron Paul wants to be the third president to kill the Fed.

I heard Jackson's headstone says "I killed the Bank"--as if that was his greatest achievement.

I didn't pick Ron Paul...he certainly didn't ask me first.

The fact that an old man with a funny speech pattern and a conspiracy theorist past can lead a movement only shows no one of better calibre is willing to do it. Perhaps that has to do with the torrent of bitter scorn that libertarians are consistently met with.

“Google ads use bots to search for keywords on pages. The words “Jew”, “Jewish” and “Israel” must be causing the bot to think it’s found a Jewish-themed site.”

If you know so much about it, why did you express bewilderment in your first post.

Who the hell cares? The only people who I know of who even go to that site are about 5 freepers who don't like Paul anyway. I'm seriously thinking of buying the mrsilverbackforums.com domain and posting weird fetish stuff to it.

Really? I hope you aren't saying that RP Forums exists to discredit Dr. Demento, because this page indicates that is definitely not the case.

To discredit me using the "replicate the RP Forums" method, you would need to do the following:

1. Build a forum with about 4,500 active members. Citation.

2. Have them post a lot of threads supporting the idea that I am a great guy and should be very, very successful. Start a lot of threads about my good looks, that should be the easiest way to build a lot of agreement. Then you can have subforums with hundreds or thousands of posts, so it looks credible. BTW, I'm a member of the forums at finescale.com and aircraftresourcecenter.com, and we have subforums that have been up for years and have fewer threads than some of theose RP subforums.

3. After you've done all that work, then you can make your move and portray yourself as a rabid fetishist that is a big fan of mine. But make sure you leave that thread up for at least 5 or 6 days, so people know it's OK to post that kind of stuff.

It could work, but it sure sounds like a lot of effort to me, especially since you'd have to do most of the posting yourself...I just don't have a personality cult like Dr. Demento.

Silverback,

I’ve read the two threads pointing out wacko RP supporters on blogs and forums. As I told you in the prior thread, I don’t know much about the man, but some people I know who are very active conservatives and well-versed in the COTUS are supporting RP.

The blog you linked to has a library of RP quotes on sundry and various topics. They look to be Constitutionally sound. Is there anything that would indicate the guy is an anti-semite or a white supremacist? What is the foundation of your opposition to the guy?

Or perhaps he is there just to take away from any other viable candidates as well..hmmmm? Kind of like a hedge fund?

Now who's the conspiracy theorist?

Kidding aside, not sure what you are driving at unless it is contributions to RP from anti-other candidate groups. Don't know about that, I suppose all the candidates get some donations for that general reason.

Care to elaborate?

I’ve had a death in the family, and don’t have time to mess with you. Put your ping where the sun doesn’t shine.

It's a well known fact that college age Dems are coming out to support him. Does that not make you slightly curious?

Sorry about the weird grammar. I think it's time for a break. :)

I'll be back but it may be tomorrow. Have a good one.

Ouch!

I figured Jones would win, but I wouldn't have been confident enough to put money on it.

personality cult

Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee are charismatic, but let's face it, RP is kinda dorky.

Probably mostly anti-war types but hopefully also because they don't like the state encroaching on personal freedoms.

Good talking with you.

Well let's see. It's called freedom of speech. An idea the founders had for us.

Yep. Show me a post where I called for any political speech to be banned. Or show me where the First Amendment requires the mods on a forum to leave any thread up that's posted. I'll wait. [Jeopardy theme begins playing.]

Of course FAUX Conservatives like yourself like a nice sterile environment to limit others discussion in which is why some forums were created to start with :>}

Ah, so here comes the charge again...I'm not in favor of the caandidate of truthers, who will lose the war in Iraq, so I'm not a real conservative. Yeah, sure. Whatever makes you feel justified.

Yet I also know the dangers of Cultural Marxism. That is where you start persecuting and prosecuting people for speech and ideas. It's other name is political correctness.

The fact that you're calling objecting to anti-Semitism "political correctness" just shows how far you've gone. Political correctness is stuff like calling someone differently abled, or kicking Christians off campus. Opposing real hate with real conservative values is the exact opposite of political correctness.

Beats me, but you know those guys don’t need stuff like that to hate Jews. They’d simply come up with something else, like kidnapping babies for the Passover meal, or poisoning wells.

Oh yes, anti-semitism is alive and well.

However, it is harder to effect a world take-over or even a progrom against jews with a smaller government tightly constrained by the constitution.
