I also plan to SPECIFICALLY thank Pied Piper Pitt for all the terrific comedy material he has provided to the DUFUs. Not only that I will also thank Pitt in all my victory press conferences and all press interviews that I give for the year of my reign as Emperor of All the Known Humor Blogospheres. I plan to stay in contact with the press frequently.

DUmmie FUnnies now in a big lead with almost 60% of the total vote. However, this is just beginning.

Hey PJ when I voted they said only 16 people had voted. When I voted the slot for your site lite up and they went away. There was no place on the ballot that said submit vote. Did everyone else get the same response???

Oh, and when the press asks how I got the idea for the DUmmie FUnnies, I'll have to give credit to an FR Administrator. It's true!!!

What happened was that in September 2004 I kept posting dopey DUmmie comments on all the threads about the CBS TANG scandal that was just breaking. Finally, an Administrator warned me to quit spamming. So I then set up the DUmmie FUnnies blog and the rest is history.

So if the DUmmie FUnnies wins as FUnniest Blog, I'll have to give credit to the FR Administrator who warned me not to spam. I might never have set up the DUFU blog if I hadn't gotten that incredibly helpful warning. Oh, and he was right. It is annoying to spam the threads. Sorry about that.

Right now Jon Swift is number #2 but way behind. The one I’m really worried about is last year’s winner, Sadly No! He has a big leftwing blog that is extremely sacreligious. When he puts the link in to the Weblog Awards vote his numbers will start to soar. That is the sad fact of the matter. If you want inspiration on going ALL OUT for the DUmmie FUnnies, you need to visit the Sadly No! site. It will make you so angry that you will want to redouble your efforts.
