He states what my position has always been, “Let’s err on side of life.” One example is a man I once knew, a liberal, who was told that nothing could be done to save his mother, that it was a matter of days. He insisted she be kept alive. He was glad he did because she recovered and lived for several years more.

I do not believe for a minute that somebody is happy to be dehydrated. That is a horrible way to die. Felos, Judge Greer, Michael Schiavo, and their groupies are like something out of a horror novel. Yet they are very real.

It is such a simple and logical approach, I am amazed how difficult it is for many to grasp this concept. Perhaps that man nudged just a bit out of liberal thought.

I think that it is also worth noting that many of the deathbot Nazis are no longer FReepers (many have been banned and at least one is “a supreme example of what’s wrong with your side and [Jim Robinson] intends to keep around as an example”). They felt that conservatives (ESPECIALLY pro-life Christians), had had their “foot on the neck of Republicans for too long.”

Maybe I’m alone in this, but I find a peculiar irony in coming onto a CONSERVATIVE forum and complaining about CONSERVATIVES. However, in my mind, there is absolutely no room for compromise on pro-life issues — a person is either pro-life or they are pro-death, there can be no “middle ground.”

Sadly, the death movement has many years and millions of dollars invested in manipulating our culture and wooing the media into accepting this “quality-of-life” standard that uses the “PVS” diagnosis as a reason to terminate life.

When somebody can find a SINGLE PERSON who is unable to identify any area of their life that they do not consider to be perfect, please let me know because I would be very eager to be there when our Lord returns.

"antiTerribots"

When you say "antiTerribots", do you mean people who are against "Terribots"? So then who are the "Terribots"? And what puts a person into each group? Sorry to ask so many questions, but I want to be sure I understand! Thanks!

It is questions like yours which really help especially new visitors to understand why we do as we do. Now you have a variety of views on the topic of Terribots summarized succinctly by wagglebee who points out there are two distinct sides, no "middle ground".

Now that you have our responses, perhaps you can give us your own conclusion and on which side you cleave.

Actually, in post #189 yesterday, I did mention a third group who for whatever the reason would not choose a side and the struggle for the souls of these undecideds. However, there IS NO MIDDLE GROUND.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1859089/posts?page=189#189

Elie Wiesel has made the following statements on the fallacy of a “middle ground” and all of them apply:

“The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. The opposite of beauty is not ugliness, it’s indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it’s indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, but indifference between life and death.”

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented”

“Because of indifference, one dies before one actually dies.”

“Indifference, to me, is the epitome of evil.”

Good post!

“The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. ..”

If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.

“One can’t help but wonder if perhaps the mainstream media is feeling a growing sense of uneasiness regarding Terri’s death.”

MSM keeps trying to prove a negative, guilty conscience maybe?

The media thought that the public would soon forget about Terri's murder, it was simply another example of the left severely misinterpreting and underestimating public opinion.

Please don't mix any breaking heartwarming story about a miracle or new cure with the state sponsored murder of Terri Schiavo. The media has propaganda rights re: Terri. Keep the lies about Terri coming until the end of the MSM (a long time).

Part of my e-mail from Terri’s foundation:

“You might have heard that Jack Kevorkian, a.k.a. Dr. Death, was released early from
prison on June 1, for “good behavior” following his conviction for second degree
murder.

Not surprisingly, our mainstream media has already begun to help the “doctor” use
his “plight” as a reason to promote the legalization of assisted suicide —
allegedly for the terminally ill — even though we know that many of his victims
suffered only from depression.

In a statement just days before his release Kevorkian told Larry King he felt it was
important to speak to “[the] young people, in high school and college . . .”

Well, apparently, he is going to get his wish. As difficult as it is to believe,
Dr. Kevorkian is reportedly scheduled to speak to the students at the University of
Florida for an agreed fee of $50,000 to be paid by the student government
association.

This is the same University of Florida where Judge George Greer attended school. It
is also where bio-ethicist Bill Allen teaches —the same Bill Allen who said in an
interview that he believed my sister Terri was not a person!

And now, Kevorkian could be potentially paid $50,000 to spread his message of death
to our college students.

We at Terri’s Foundation are deeply offended by this affront to everyone who stands
for the value and dignity of every human life — and we are determined to stand
against it.

But we need your help to be effective!

We ask everyone who receives this email to join us in telling the President of the
University of Florida that it is unacceptable to invite Jack Kevorkian to spread his
message of death and violence to the campus of the University of Florida.

Please sign our Say No to Dr. Death Petition using the link below. We will then take
your signed petitions to the University President’s office and demand the University
withdraw the invitation to Kevorkian.”

The BRAINWASHING OF YOUNG PEOPLE.

Now that you have our responses, perhaps you can give us your own conclusion and on which side you cleave.

Do you mean am I a Terribot or an antiTerribot? Well, I would have to say that I am neither. I don't think I agree that there is never any middle ground when considering great matters of moral and human importance. And it seems to me that the self-same action that can be wrong in one situation can be right in another. To use an example that I have seen brought up here on the boards, while it is normally right to obey the law, there are situations, such as in Nazi Germany, where breaking the law is more moral, more right, than obeying it.

I support the dignity and humanity of all people. In my personal life, I strive to minimize the suffering of others insofar as I am able, and to foster their well-being, as much as I can. It is a simple rule of thumb, but serves me well.

Yes, the MSM keeps it on the front burner, too. End of MSM? Maybe it will be the same as the end of Time (magazine).

Today is a light news day on Terri related topics, following upon a flurry of news, so, just a lull. Meanwhile, the media is covering once again the news of Senator Brownback and Bobby Schindler, one news item of real import. This coverage is from the Washington Post.

On Friday, Brownback will begin a weekend tour of Iowa accompanied by the brother of the late Terri Schiavo, who was in a permanent vegetative state for 15 years before dying in 2005 after her feeding tube was removed. Her case sparked a firestorm over end-of-life issues and energized religious conservatives.

~Snip~

Other candidates, including former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, also are seeking the support of social and religious conservatives, but Brownback has been the most persistent in Iowa.

"He is going to all the right places and saying all the right things," said Chuck Laudner, executive director of the Republican Party of Iowa.

And veteran activist Bob Haus noted, "He's putting some good old Kansas shoe leather into the state."

I don't think I agree that there is never any middle ground when considering great matters of moral and human importance.

Ah yes, the absurdity of moral relativism. This theory has been pushed by the abortionists for a third of a century with the statement, "I would never have an abortion, but it's not my place to tell someone else that they should't have an abortion." All of this is done while refusing to address the FACT that 50 MILLION babies have been killed in this country since 1973.

Let me ask you this, does THIS sentence also work for you?
"I would never [Fill in the blank(RAPE, MURDER, COMMIT ARMED ROBBERY, COMMIT ARSON)], but it's not my place to tell someone else that they shouldn't [Fill in the blank(RAPE, MURDER, COMMIT ARMED ROBBERY, COMMIT ARSON)]."

I don't know what you mean by "also"? What is the other sentence? As for the sentence you closed with, it is so much absurd and hysterical hyperbole, with which no rational person would agree.

Do you ever get tired from being so outraged all the time? :)
