Pelosi herself voted to impeach Hastings years ago but I guess her irrational Harmon Hate overrides any objections to corruption as we saw in her Hoyer Hate episode.

As an "H" myself, I thought at first it might be Initial Discrimination: Harmon Hate, Hoyer Hate. But then why is there no Hastings Hate?

No, I think a more likely explanation is that Alcee Hastings fills a quota possesses a qualification that neither Jane Harmon nor Steny Hoyer can meet.

Even many Freepers have bought into the fact that America somehow voted for the Left this election. They didn't. They just fell for the Left's fake hawkishness and promises to clean up corruption.

There are at least some Democrats who are rational enough to know that, as Lawrence O'Donnell said, if they seat Hastings as chair of the committee, it will cost the Democrats the House next time. Fortunately, not enough.

Pelosi wants to pick Alcee Hastings for Intel char? Are you F*CKING KIDDING ME?

Now what do we know about Pelosi's choice, Alcee Hastings? A little quick googling reveals the following:

In 1989, Hastings was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives for bribery and perjury. The Democratic-controlled Senate convicted Judge Hastings of accepting a $150,000 bribe in 1981 in exchange for a lenient sentence and of perjury in his testimony about the case. He became only the sixth Judge in the history of United States to be removed from office by the United States Senate.

After his impeachment and removal from office for corruption and perjury, Hastings was elected to the House of Representatives in 1992.

So instead of calling him Alcee "Here comes the judge" Hastings, I will call him Alcee "Here comes the BRIBE" Hastings.

She was thinking about picking William "The Refrigerator" Jefferson, but he was busy defrosting his wallet.

Pelosi hasn't aged much since she was in "Brazil."

[I don't know about Jane Harmon but Jane HARMAN is the ranking member on that committee.]

"Harmon" is the Jamaican pronunciation.

can she remove both Harman and Hastings from the committee? that might be the best thing to do if possible.

DRAIN THE SWAMP!

Isn't that what Pelosi pledged?

Any reason she couldn't bring in Dennis Kucinich? That would be rich.

It would be fitting, too. Because just like Pelosi herself--maybe even more so--Kookcinich is FLAT OUT NUTS!!!

Here he is, thinking he can fly around a room:

Was Hastings removed, or was this the only impeachment of him and the impeachment resulted in an acquittal?

Impeached AND removed by a democratic congress.

There you go again. . . . Don't you think it's time to STOP this politics of personal destruction? Let's just all take a deep breath and not rush to judgment. It's time to MOVE ON.

For The Children™, of course.

When the House impeached federal judge Alcee Hastings in 1989, 16 of the 17 counts had to do with a bribery allegation. . . .

Here comes the bribe,
Alcee can't hide. . . .

We mustn't ignore the 16 counts.

Oh, why not? Nobody's perfect. 16 little, teensy-weensy counts of bribery, corruption, and perjury--big deal!

I trust Pelosi enough to think she knows what she's doing. . . .

I hate to tell you this, but I'm afraid all that Botox has been seeping into her cerebrum.

Harman is also tainted, but Reyes is third in line and there's also Rush Holt.

Who's on first?
