I am perpetually angry. people are meaner and they seem much angrier too. there is far less humor in day-to-day life and people seem unable to find and relate to the inherent humanity in one another.Simple cure: take a break from DU, and get a life.

Is that a new song parody? I don't remember that one. Hot off the press. I saw you were doing a Bush Derangement Syndrome DUFU, figured BDS pops up often enough that it deserves its own song, looked for a "hook," found it in the "range" part of the word, which in turn made "Home on the Range" the obvious choice on which to base a parody.
Now, PJ, what might be confusing you is that I did have a PREVIOUS "DUmb and Deranged" parody, but the title is the only thing that was the same. The rest of that one had to do with environmental wackoism:
Oh, give me a home where the grizzly bears roam,
Where the dove and the eagle both soar,
Where seldom is seen a real live human being
And the skies are not dirty no more.
DUmb, DUmb and deranged--
Wish the humans would all go away!
Where seldom is heard a sound made by a bird,
'Cause no one's around anyway.

cannot even contemplate having children (before I am too old to do so).
It's bleak. Very bleak.
I am cynical, pessimistic, unsentimental, and disappointed with life.
OH the humanity..!!!
and to think it's all Bush's fault.
To: PJ-Comix
No, that's not it. I have never seen that one before. The other one was not a comic strip, it was a political cartoon on the editorial page a few years ago. I have seen it someplace else since then, I think it must be kind of famous.
I'd go out and get my Houston 'Comical' to see if the same cartoonist might have one in there today but we are flooding here and I am sure it is soaked.

How does life seem to you in the last six years...I've never laughed so hard in all my life as I have at this collection of disgruntled hippies, so life's been excellent! Laughter is good for the soul....

Bob Shrum is the Joe Btfsplk of the Democrat party. Every presidential campaign he is involved in ultimately LOSES. In 2004, Shrum thought he beat the jinx when the exit polls showed Kerry winning in a landslide. He then went to Kerry at about 7 PM on election night and said, "May I be the first to say 'Mr. President'".
Kerry just stared at Shrum gloomily. Perhaps he knew that given his record, Shrum had just jinxed him.

Perhaps a cartoonist could draw in Kerry's face in that jinxed character?

Due to a stupid mistake I made posting on DU a freeper got me fired from my job. With no savings and only 2 weeks vacation pay coming to me I went to work for myself. Talk about crazy. Well, we struggled even harder for about 6 months and then business took off. I'm now making triple what I was when I quit my old job. We are climbing out of debt fast, and next year at the age of 43 I will finally be able to buy my own house. Yep, that failed Bush economy strikes again.

I have a good DUFU lined up for tonight. It has to do with DUmmiecrat election confidence...or lack of it.

These days, even the bright sunny days seem like a dark and dingy dungeon of despair. If you think it's bad now, DUmmie, wait till Air America has to pull the plug. Meanwhile, might I suggest moving out of Mommy's dark and dingy dungeon of a basement?

I've been driving in California since 1974. People used to use their turn signals MOST of the time. Now, it seems that particularly younger drivers almost never use them.Must be due to the fact that nobody in Tijuana uses turn signals and California's population brings that habit with them when they leap the fence.

No you didn't. Great Depression 2 was what is commonly known as the Carter Administration.

If it weren't for my hobby of creating and maintaining websites, which I taught myself for six years, I'd be one of those guys on the street corner holding a "Will work for food sign". So, this guy is saying that if it weren't for getting off his butt and learning a trade that he could earn a living from, he'd be unemployed. What about this surprises this guy?

Over in DUmmieland, I
found that a few of them had noticed that the South Park Conspiracy Guy looked like Will Pitt. Personally, I'm convinced that it was Pitt. I also think one of the writers must be a LOUSY FREEPER TROLL and part of a right-wing conspiracy to make all the sheeple believe the government is actually behind all the conspiracy theorists.
