I pass some books around after I've read them, but that's because they're no use to me once read; novels, etc. Now, history books are another topic. Those I'm saving for my nephew after I'm gone.
I hope these DUmmies do pass Dean's book around. The more they spread this garbage the more irrelevant they become. They have no idea the hole they continue to dig for themselves.

If you have to "save up" for a book, you are in pretty bad shape. I also liked the one who said "get this book and pass it along." Reminds me of this book:

You're in Seattle and NO cell phone coverage?????? Odd, isn't it? I live on top of a hill, and that area is just a black hole. We have coverage, but only if we don't move around the house and hop on one foot when we talk. Forget calling inside the grocery store, it's the abyss.
The pharmacist told me that only Cingular customers seem to be able to communicate in that area. When our Sprint contract is up we'll probably look at them.

I have Verizon DSL at home and have no complaints. Of course, I have Dish satellite TV and consider Comcast cable to be overpriced.
The thing to remember if you go off the phone grid is that you have no true 911 service. Cell phones are supposed to be able to provide location for emergencies, but I don't think this is very widespread yet. And internet-based phone service like Vonage warns you in the small print that your "911" service is not hooked up to your local 911 people.

Well don't you know her name was on the list of DNC hookers that the WATERGATE BURGLARS were looking for in that desk drawer. But JD already knew that. Cause he'd already done her on one of those torture planes I really could have done without the mental image of Mo Dean dressed up like Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS....

I'd think it'd feel like the mental equivalent of Restless Legs Syndrome.
You would be referring to Tourette's Syndrome,I think! Or, more precisely, Bush-Induced Tourrette's Syndrome!

" The thing to remember if you go off the phone grid is that you have no true 911 service."Thanks! With my severe heart problems that's a good point to remember.
I'd love to go from two phone bills to one, but it's all in the math, plus what you point out. When our year is up with Verizon DSL I'll take a good long look at it.

Can some older Freeper tell me what the hell a "Goldwater Conservative" is? Idiots like Dean throw it around like all conservatives before 1964 were libertarians or liberals.
To: PJ-Comix
ANybody got a link to that 9-11 DUmmie Science Project thread, or the NRO piece on it? Sounds interesting.

John Dean, on the heels of his flop of a book called Worse Than Watergate called Conservatives Without Conscience in which he maintains that 23% (not 22% or 24%) of the population are "rightwing authoritarians"...
Resistance is futile

Had Sprint some time ago and I am familiar with the lean a certain way, hop on one foot, face in this direction drill. I had dropped calls all the time, and worthless support from them.
Now Verizon and no problems.
To: commonguymd
I'll have to look at Verizon. We're hanging in there until the contract's up, then Sprint is OUTTA HERE!

John Dean says that 23% of Americans...are rightwing authoritarians. The idiocy is shown in the first sentence, 'right-wingers' are not about authority, the farther one goes to the right the less authority is present.
The LEFT-WING on the other hand is all about authority, one finally reaches the sanitized DUtopia of Orwell's 1984, otherwise known as communism.

Oh, the memories. In '64, there was a noisy split at the Republican Convention between liberals and conservatives. Liberal Repubs backed Nelson Rockefeller for president. The conservatives backed Barry Goldwater and he won the nomination.
He was the first conservative candidate for president since Herbert Hoover. And especially with John Kennedy recently assassinated, the idea of a conservative in the White House was just too much for the elite opininion makers. The reaction in the media was horror and Goldwater was demonized as a hawk for a global nuclear holocaust. That's what people usually mean when they say, "Goldwater Republican". Needless to, it's not what the man was.
On the other some older Dems (and RINOs) speak approvingly of Rockefeller Republicans just to show that they tolerate dissenting opinions.
