Gas oven. The range works, and the electronic controls work, but the oven just doesn't turn on. The repair person is coming after 2:00 this afternoon; soon as the kids finish lunch, we have to run to the grocery store because we're out of onions!

Same here - I put onions in everything. Sometimes I just eat onion sandwiches, with mustard.

LOL!
You're tougher than I am!
I have heard of peanut-butter and green onion sandwiches... never had the nerve to try that...
I like lots of garlic, too.

Peanut butter and green onion sounds gross. Garlic is wonderful ... I'd better buy more!

Like i say: never had the guts to do green onion and peanut butter.
You can't have too much garlic!
Ever tried 40 Clove Garlic Chicken?

Sounds delicious - I'd have to double and make 80-clove chicken, though. Fortunately thighs are inexpensive in the super-economy size package at Wal-mart.

I've printed out the recipe. Maybe we'll try it tomorrow, if the oven isn't fixed :-0!

I grew up poor and in a rural area. Self sufficiency was a must. I could repair a light buld if necessary.

If I had a broken light bulb, I'd call you!
Hopefully I'll have my Stove Person in a hour. At least it's not the air conditioner broken, like the last time! The thermometer says 100.

Heat index here has hit 110 to 115 way too much lately. With our humidity, high 90's feels much worse.
