WHOA!
OK...I'm seeing a "spider" with arms/legs of two joints each, like "real" spiders, but with much more agility and obviously more dexterity.
Did I get it? Huh? Huh? Did I?

Yep! I haven't mentioned their size, and on the moon, size for strength is not quite as important as it is on Earth.
Unfortunately, I have a hunch they will be big enough to be scary, but who's gonna see them?
From a distance, they'll probably look cute.
I also have not described the "wrist" joint, which will be complicated, I assure you!

Well, darn!
You said they were "pop-ups" so I figured one must have popped up in your face.
I'm not going to be on much longer, but I thought I'd at least let you know I'm here for a bit longer. ;o]
The troll is very quiet. Or was...

It actually got down to 68 last night, so with the rain this morning, it was almost too cool for me. Go figger.

I unplugged everything that could be unplugged..
AFTER crash dumping the machine and everything I had open.
Machine is okay, but the light show outside was impressive.
I ended up sitting outside on the front porch watchng the show.
And this one popped up in an impressive way.
We had a circle of lightning all around.. and nothing where I was at.
I could see stars overhead.
And then the clouds rolled over us with tons of rain.

Shelob? This entity?
No. No. More like the little robot in "Spaced Invaders."

Actully, I lied. It was more like the little "spiders" in that Tom Selleck film with Gary Simmons (of KISS fame)...what the heck was the name of that movie...???
Anyway, I imagined them larger, but much more intricate and intelligent.

I've seen the movie, but I can't remember what the robots looked like.
All I get is this...
