I think I may just go visit Stanton. Who wants to come along? When we get there we can play baseball. So bring your bat! We could also go pheasant hunting along the way, so bring your shotgun and some birdshot. And then we can take Mr. Grady out for coffee and settle our differences in a civilized manner. Sounds like a fun trip, no?

Pheasant season isn't until October. And I really doubt the DUmmies would want to be around that many armed red staters...LOL

Good article from a good paper.

Actually, it is a poorly researched, poorly written, one-sided puff piece from a hard-left rag.

You may be right. By the way, do you go to the Haskell?
Am thinking of coming up. Will PM you if I do.

nurse practitioner

I believe it takes much more to become a nurse practitioner that it does to be a PA. I used to see one for chronic pain and she was awesome.

Which is part of the never ending battle between nurses, (nurse practitioner) and Doctors, who sponsor PA's, (physician's assistant).

No one ever claimed to be professional fund raisers.

Andy Stephenson has raised money for his WA SOS run, for BBV, and for various leftist organizations with which he has been associated.

Andy's fundraising manager, Elizabeth/Beth Ferrari (sfexpat2000) has been active in the Green Party in California and has been involved in many fundraisers for mental health and the homeless in the San Francisco area.

William Rivers Pitt has raised money for truthout.org and PDA.

The list could go on. The truth is, a lot of these folks have been doing fundraising for years.

No mention of Mr. Socialized medicine getting the best treatment for himself instead of going to a Washington hospital.

I do pray for Andy's recovery, I hope he has a quick recovery since I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone!

No one ever claimed to be professional fund raisers.

Is this a tacit admission that they did it WRONG? That they--the supposed experts on verifiability--have conducted this whole operation (no pun intended) with a decided lack of accountability and transparency?

If they admit that they did not conduct this well, then why the venom and the vitriol against those who view the Andy Stephenson Situation with legitimate suspicion? Why the reluctance to provide verifiable answers to reasonable questions?

think someone else said this - it was really DU's finest hour.

What they said was, "This was DU's funniest hour!"

I hope we can finally end this controversy.

It could have been ended before it began, with the proper accountability and controls, which could have been easily and quickly done.

That's the signal for dirtybenburch and goodlittleboy to get their acetylene torches ready.

Something about the article doesn't quite read right

Only the headline, the sub-head, and the first 17 paragraphs.

"Hold the flames..."

If it involves benburch and goodlittleboy, shouldn't it read "Hold the FLAMERS"?

My cousin died of pancreatic cancer

Uppp!! You said the p.c. words. Prepare for tombstoning.

The Andyliners don't want to be confused with reality.

But pancreatic cancer is usually diagnosed only after it has already metastasized.

And the whole URGENT massive fundraising appeal of April 28 and thereafter was based, founded, dependent upon, Andy Stephenson ALREADY having been diagnosed with LIFE-THREATENING PANCREATIC CANCER, for which $50,000 PANCREATIC CANCER SURGERY AT JOHNS HOPKINS was needed RIGHT NOW OR ELSE ANDY'S GONNA DIE!

I notice that franksolich hasn't been here this morning. He might be interested in the fact that DUmmie benburch threatened to kill him. Or perhaps franksolich did see this thread and is now busy contacting the authorities to get an arrest warrant on DUmmie benburch.

No one has ever been confirmed as surviving metastasized pancreatic cancer.

And if Andy indeed NOW has lethal pancreatic cancer--which, furthermore, has been said to have entered his lymph nodes--then it will be tragic that Andy PASSED UP free/low-cost treatment EARLY ON back home at the several top-notch, world-class facilities there in the state of Washington.

I was happy to donate, and still am happy I did

Actually nobody gives a tinkers damn if you are happy or not. The whole episode doesn't revolve around your happiness.

Since we can't take you under our wings without permission, you are on your own with it.

If you are happy that you donated to a person who claimed imminent death then put off surgery (hey bettyellen and crew... Andy put it off... we didn't.. the doctors didn't) for months, who jets around the country demanding 'accountability' and 'transparency' then stonewalls when someone asks the same of him, then we can't help you.

Fingers in ears.... I can't hear you lalalalalala /du mode
