104. Hang in there Andy!
All your friends want you to beat this thing's scrawny ass!
lmao - good catch!
Hmm... you've built an excellent case for Termite here. My only argument is that you're underestimating the magnitude of Pitt's guilt. If my suspicions are correct, then he is the man directly responsible for pulling strings and orchesterating fundraisers on all those website off-DU, including major biggies like Daily Kos. You can bet that Andy's recourse is going to be, "William Pitts did it all, I didn't say a thing" and when the feds investigate and inquire the owners of those blogs, they're going to be saying, "William Pitts asked us to do this." In a sense, it may even be that William Pitts looks more guilty than Andy Stephenson on the surface.
Yes, Pitts is a victim, but IMHO he's not stupid enough to rely on the goodwill of federal persecuters and judges, so he's going to play it safe and be the first to draw blood to ensure that he gets no jail time or heavy civil fines. He has a lot of choices to make; the way I see it, in terms of game theory his choice to defect would be nearly dominant--only outweighed by 2 miniscule chances wherein cooperation would be superior: that no one will say anything to the government and no one will persecute anyone, and the tiny chance that Andy Stephenson will end up having pancreatic cancer anyway (very unlikely at this timeline in his diagnosis).
I would agree that it is very possible that Termite has a lot to lose by not defecting too... it depends on the kind of person he is and I agree it is quite possible he and Pitt could be doing this together.
This is so exciting to me on a mathematical level because it's like a book of game theory came into real life.
goes back to DECEMBER!
How much. That has been my question. If they show paypal receipts and only document the last week in April and the first week in May - that would account for 50000. They have been out there professionaly fundraising since December - I am certain it is much more than 50000.
I think the money thing is the key.
Overdue thanks for the Jeanarrette link.
It is frightening that there are people so bereft of common sense that they can be persuaded that their collective good vibes cured Andy's cancerous pancreas.
"To hell with the $50,000."
Uh, okay.
Here is the post I am talking about when someone came out and tried to clarify. Who did they pm? Skinner is still being used. I think it is Skinner working behind the scenes to let all the accomplices implicate themselves. He probably has no choice.

111. I pmailed and these are the answers I got to your questions, I hope

they help.
1) Was Andy diagnosed with pancreatic cancer? THE SYMPTOMS HE PRESENTED WERE CONSISTENT WITH CANCER OF THE PANCREAS. BEFORE HE FOUND OUT HE WAS GOING TO BE TREATED AT JOHNS HOPKINS, HIS DOCTOR IN SEATTLE WANTED TO BEGIN CHEMOTHERAPY.
2) When was the diagnosis changed; DIAGNOSIS HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED. When Andy's May 11 surgery was cancelled due to administrative failures, Johns Hopkins did arrange for more pre-operative tests. A more intricate scan was performed by Johns Hopkins last week. That test reflected or indicates that the cancer/tumor/growth/mass has not metastized, it has not spread to other organs, it is localized or contained. The surgeon won't know what he will find until he cuts him open. He won't know if it is malignant or benign until he performs the surgery and not until after pathology does the testing of its cells.
3) Where was the DU party when that diagnosis was changed? THERE HAS BEEN NO PARTY because Andy is still sick, the surgery is still to be performed on the 26th and Johns Hopkins is still charging Andy to let them cut him open to remove the growth/tumor/mass/cancer, whatever it may be.
As Skinner posted in his thread, when the time is right, he will provide the necessary updates. He was satisfied with the documents, releases, proof that was provided to him.
I had this happen to me once when reading one of Doug from Upland's most excellent threads. When that happens, simply alert an administrator or moderator to delete the image (the administrator or moderator knows how to detect which image it is), and then have the original poster post the image again, from a non-"password protected" site.
In other news, Lutz found a fund-solicitation for Andy dated December 23, 2004, which was about a month earlier than similar solicitations any of us had found.....leading one to suspect Andy was padding his wallet even as Bev Harris was paying him ($4,000 per month, and yes, he got paid).
In the meantime, the DUmmies are still questioning the "lockdown":

How can fundraising efforts for other DUers be done smarter?
Don't know why Mods are locking these threads.
Our money is our business. Unless DUers like the pointless drama that has resulted twice now.

Also in the meantime, the DUmmies are unwittingly discussing the "root cause" of the problem with Andy:

13. If anyone can take this out to the communities Andy's worked for that would be awesome.
Here is an address for me,keeper of the books: info@dougzilla.com should anyone have a concern or a question.
Thank you, Lisa!
I wouldn't count on a response from Beth about all this at the moment, though.
And remember everybody, "Politicize My Plight!".
Still no Pied Piper Pitt apology this AM but waiting. He promised us an APOLOGY today. "Forgive me for being an IDIOT!!!"
It's early yet.
To heck with another screed from Wee Willy Pitt.
I wanna hear from $kimmer.
I want to know where he's been through this debacle.
Man, don't you guys ever sleep.
Thanks for all the work...and the laughs.
"...leading one to suspect Andy was padding his wallet even as Bev Harris was paying him ($4,000 per month, and yes, he got paid)."
I'm beginning to suspect Andy has been doing this since the time of his failed run for SoS WA, or maybe even before that while he was on the Bev&Andy Road Show. That would take it back a year at least.
Maybe he was asking for personal donations the whole time he worked for Bev. Maybe that was one of the problems that led to his dismissal from BBV. But I am convinced more than ever that this all begins at BBV.
