Andy has hinted at diabetes, in many DUmmie threads.
From examination of recent photographs, and from what we know of his lavish life-style, it is probably reasonable to believe that yes, he has diabetes, and is not making it any better by his overindulgence in adult beverages, doughnuts, chips, whatnot.
Some people just do not wish to be healthy.
The tron suit kills me.
You know, Undie's "When a person dies" thread would have been the best one to DUFU since this current edition went up, but we've already done it to death (so to speak).
Here's the one Termite posted. I read one from Andy posted after this where he was complaining about giving up his favorite ice cream...I'm still looking for that one.

Andy was admitted to the hospital tonight.
Our friend tested his blood sugar tonight, and it was 569. He called the nurse at Swedish hospital where he is being seen and she told him he needed to come in immediately. She said he was at risk for a stroke, coma or worse. His diagnosis is typ2 diabetes and apparently this was brought on by the stress on his pancreas right now. They are treating him tonight for the high blood sugar and he should be home sometime tomorrow.
I would like to thank all of you very much for the good wishes and words of support you have offered Andy. He is very sick and your words of support have kept him on a somewhat even keel, and have helped him deal with the emotional roller coaster he is on right now.
Thank you again,
Termite

Even better. X-Ray tech.
I think Undie's "When A Person Dies" thread was posted over the weekend when I was mostly out of action. I do have a related one that I will probably be putting up soon.
Thank you, again and again, but by any chance, you didn't notice if that thread had an appeal for money, did you?
I have to run to town to get some cigarettes.
Here's the one mentioning he might have the same disease that killed his sister.

Andy is the salt of the earth kind of guy. He would do the same for any of us. Thank you! I talked to him this morning. He is having more test run on Monday. There is a possibility he does not have the Hepatitis A now. Possible scarcoidosis...his sister died of this recently!
He's scared.

I was just at an "Atlanta Bread Company" store to get a breakfast sandwich. They are like Starbucks with their gourmet coffees except they offer a bigger and better selection of sandwiches. Similar atmosphere too with one BIG difference. I notice that the clientele of Atlanta Bread Company seems to be much more conservative than the liberals who inhabit Starbucks. Anyone else notice that? Also how widespread is the Atlanta Bread Company? We have them here in Florida.
You are correct. And wasn't there a post from termite talking about Undie's blood sugar count, etc? I'll see if I can find it.
And, I'm almost caught up!
Side note:
It has been 13 days since Undie said Skinner had the info to verify all of this.
Yes, I remember an earlier DUmmie FUnnies when Undie went on his cross-country whine-athon because mean ol' Bev fired him while he was at his sister's funeral. How he had to work 400 hours straight, with nary a bathroom break, while his sister lay dying. That's why it surprised me when I read he's asked his sister for money in Mar.
VelmaD's first name is Barbara.
Some years back an upscale sandwitch company started here in STL called St. Louis Bread Co. They had stores in the STL area and other market areas. Eventually they were bought out and the name changed to maybe something like Pantera Bread Co or Pantera Sandwitch Co. except here in STL where they kept the STL Bread Co name.
They bake their bread onsite for the sandwitches and have gourmet coffees and pastries. I like their scones.
If I'm not mistaken they are a franchise company. It could be that Atlanta Bread Co. is an offshoot of this.
He might have two sisters.
You know, I am greatly concerned for his dear mother, who surely must be appalled at the antics of her boy; it is reasonable to assume the hapless grey mom did not raise him to go bad.
I am sure she is aware of the controversy surrounding her bad lad, but she must take solace in that it is better to pay for one's sins in this world, than in the next.
Thank you; by the way, how is the weather up there in South Dakota today? Sunny here down south in Nebraska, and will probably get hot.
<<oftentimes dreams of having a winter home in Svalbard.
Have them in NC, SC and GA
In a later DU thread, For Andy - we aint done yet - Pass the word & remember ..., in post 371, "flyarm" (Arlene Martinez) on May 7 admits that she "lied" to get Andy into Johns Hopkins:
we have broken all protocol to get andy in. . . . under no circumstances would he have qualified without insurance..we broke the protocol and the proceedures through a back door. . . . we went through every back door to get andy in under no circiumstances would he have gotten in if they knew he didnt have insurance..and through ommission on my part of not telling the man who got andy in that andy didnt have insurance ..if that fact had been known the answer would have been no..so through omission i lied...and now my husbands boss is very angry as his reputation is now on the line..and he may never trust me again to get anyone else into JH....now the man is angry , as no one gets into this program period without insurance ..period!! . . . we went over and above protocol and proceedures of JH just to get andy in...and that was before they knew he didnt have insurance. . . .
Pannera Bread is a competitor to Atlanta Bread Co.
