VelmaD - on one of the early posts by Undie talking about his impending hospital treatment he named a couple of people who were going to keep DU updated one of them was VelmaD. She posted on Will Pitts blog about the same time under the name Velma Darth, but I haven't seen her posting or referred to since then.

He called me this morning said some more results came back from tissue samples he took during the ERCP. The reason my bile duct collapsed is I apparently have a tumor growing around the bile duct where it passes through my pancreas. The tissue sample was consistent with malignancy it could be benign but I am planning for the worst. I will deal with the outcome the best way I can …snip…. I am scheduled for surgery next week and until then I am on the edge not knowing what it is I am fighting. I may not be posting very much for a while after the surgery...but I will make sure greatauntoftriplets and ""VelmaD"" are updated as to my condition. …snip… I hate to ask but if you can donate please help me out. I am gainfully unemployed right now and it does not look like I am gonna be able to work anytime soon.

My information is that VelmaD is a sideliner on the inner circle of confidants. Andy has tended to use whomever at any given time to promote and then tosses them aside later on depending on what he is doing. VelmaD is still on the inside.

I don't know about that, but I have some contacts and sources, but more importantly all the folks here have done more than I ever could have. Some information isn't correct and still needs to be rooted through.

Okay, folks, we're closing in on the DUmmies, and they're circling the wagons, making it easier for us to round them up.

We have a permanent site--a most excellent site--for the "time line" (thank you, gardencatz, the Clare Booth Luce of Free Republic!), but we have to get the list and links of web-sites to where solicitations were sent, to a "permanent," easy-to-reach location.

If nobody has any ideas about where to "put" it, please ping me with its current location, and I will find a "home" for it, where it can be reached at all times (rather than having to plough through thousands of threads looking for it, and possibly not finding it).

Let's see DUmmy Aunt says that DUmmy Andy raised hell and found out the check was in the mail room himself, to late, of course, for his scheduled surgery. This was by a post at 9:30 a.m. on the 10th, but DUmmy Expat claims it wasn't found until the 11th by another DUmmy. So which is it? These people can't even keep the simpliest of stories straight.

I spoke to Andy a few days ago and he was going in for an MRI (or something similiar) so they could map out the plans for surgery. His medical aid had been approved for some of the bills (but not all) and the doctors agreed to move forward because the financial picture had ensured some of the bills would be paid.
