I've been thinking, could you even IMAGINE trying to follow a thread like ours here with a format like DU has? It would be almost impossible, with the posts all out of order!

I don't think so. At least for me and a lot of others (Speed included) it wasn't. We haven't given up the hunt. We haven't said, "Everything's legit, let's move on." No. We took the information Speed relayed with a big grain of salt. And we didn't rely on just that phone call to say things about the checks, for example. And even granting, hypothetically, all that Andy said to Speed, that does not mean that it still isn't a scam.

The DU format makes my head start spinning.
Here's what helps me on those DU threads: the post numbers on the right side. Yesterday I left off at 58. So today I scan down the list to see what is numerically later than 58 but listed above 58. Those are new. Then I go below 58 on the list and read all of those.
Look at the times of his 2 posts today, and the times of the posts he responded to. I think it's pretty obvious he's trying to "kick" his own thread back to the top every so often.
Oh, I think we've got your "essence" down pretty well, Undie. It's the "captured" part we're working on.

I'm watching the hunt and the overall dampening effect those calls had on the discussion was very noticable even though some in the thick of the hunt, those in the trenches may not have been affected.
Maybe it should have had an effect on them too. We'll see.
Andy's calling Speed_Addiction and Scott was a very good move if this is a scam, or, if it is not a scam.
It's hard to keep things moving when you can't get any info. That doesn't mean people aren't looking...
Well, we're still here several days after that phone call, and about 3 thousand posts beyond that.
Most of us who have been "hunting" since the start of this thing are still gathering info, updating the timeline, creating other lists, etc.
