Insightful observation. I want to expand on that very thought later in regard to Undie's "Politicize My Plight!" plea (which Mister Republican has rightly been taglining and which--I promise--I will write a well thought out post on when I get the time.)
or....that they are written on 2 different accounts. Weren't they issued the same day to the same payee on the same bank in close sequential numbers? Then query why two accounts needed.
Also, I have read where franksolich alerted us to the two Undie DU posts of Monday evening, May 9, in which Undie solemnly declares his last will and testament, should he not arise from the operating table the next morning, i.e., 1) voter verified paper ballots, and 2) universal health care. But does anyone have the actual link(s) to that/those DU thread(s) also?
2-14 tests, drugs(maybe contrast), ct scan-general, ct scan-abdomen, ultrasound.
2-17 consult
2-18 OR services, pathology charge, insertion of stnt, UNKNOWN PROCEDURE.
2-22 Looks like a follow up visit and blood drawn and tested.
Undie had something else done in that OR that he (or someone) doesn't want publicized.
It was you who wrote that insightful observation, but somehow I didn't have you in my addressees of posts 3,061 and 3,064. Sorry.
PJ, I don't know if you caught this on Laura's show this morning (OR if someone else has already posted this here) but she is looking for pitches for screenplays.
SOOO, pitch Andy Scam!!!
here
I don't remember the check numbers and am too lazy to look them up but don't believe that they were sequential, just close. If as was suggested they are from two different accounts then they would be in all probability sequential as in ..01, ..02. I'm still going with my theory about purchase of the first check and then getting a call for additional funds and purchase of the second check cleaning out the account (the second check doesn't bring the total to 50K as supposedly requested by JH). If so this would indicate that there was less than 50k in the account on the day the checks were purchased.
I think they are #11355 and #11383

Last week, I think it was, I found some 180 results by googling:
+"andy stephenson" +"pancreatic cancer"
when I wanted to prove that UndieCo's money appeal was based on the claim of urgent life-saving pancreatic cancer surgery. Then I posted representative samples from the various websites to show that. (By now, though, some of those many websites may have taken down the UndieCo appeal.)
UndieCo cried and thou$and$ now hide!
- - - - -
Note well how the fundraising is being framed. The appeal is based on Andy having been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and needing surgery to save his life!
I just now Googled these two terms: +"andy stephenson" +"pancreatic cancer"
And even after excluding the terms freerepublic and dummiefunnies, I still got about 180 results! Listen to some typical appeals:
Progressive Democrats of America, April 29, William Rivers Pitt:
Several weeks ago, Andy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Daily Kos, May 1, Ray Minchew:
Andy has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his pancreas. . . .
OpEdNews.com, May 1, Thom Hartmann:
Save Andy - And Save America, Too! . . . And now his friends are passing the hat to help pay for surgery to save him from pancreatic cancer.
Bravo, Thom, by sfexpat2000. Submitted on 2005-05-04 22:28:29, Elizabeth Ferrari says:
I'm Beth Ferrari and am trying to manaage Andy's fund. . . . Today Andy needs our help. And that has to be my focus. I hope your readers will help us with this life saving surgery.
This article is helping Andy, by hiley. Submitted on 2005-05-05 14:49:29, marilyn conner says:
If you can donate please do and know it is greatly appreciated and needed to save Andy's life.
Truthout, May 3, William Rivers Pitt:
A few weeks ago, Andy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, one of the more dangerous varieties of the disease.
The Rachel Maddow Show, Rachel Maddow, May 4:
Andy Stephenson, electronic voting activist par excellence, is seriously ill with pancreatic cancer.
The Randi Rhodes Show, May 7, Lisa (KyndCulture, RRMB Administrator):
Anyway, earlier this year Andy was diagosed with the most serious form of pancreatic cancer and he needs a very special surgery to save his life.
The Al Franken Show, May 9, Ben Wikler:
Andy Stephenson, a Washington grassroots electoral reform activist, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. . . .
votePA, Marybeth Kuznik:
URGENT, URGENT URGENT! PLEASE HELP OUR FRIEND ANDY STEPHENSON WIN AGAINST PANCREATIC CANCER! PLEASE HELP SAVE MY FRIEND ANDY STEPHENSON . . . Ultimately his test results showed that he has pancreatic cancer. Andy's cancer has been caught early, but any cancer of the pancreas is extremely serious. If not treated very soon, Andy will die.
Awww...
And later he's pining for his Termite.
Frankly, I can't imagine being a (mostly) grown man and not have a pretty good opinion or understanding of what happens after this life.
"..and that FR has a bad image of her (Bev) because of him (Andy.)
I can't address others' perceptions of Bev Harris's image.
A group of people coalesced around the idea that the 2004 election had been stolen in Ohio. Ohio is where they clumped. Susan Truitt was a co-founder of CHASE-OHIO and a busy activist and collector of donations to overturn, still, 6 months later, the election of George Bush.
Lots of donations. From lots of sites that Susan Truitt and Bev Harris control exclusively.
FR gets a hot scoop that Andy is really sick and really will get a procedure at Johns Hopkins, and nobody's dropped the dime on Andy. May 18 or 19 ???
Sick Andy, does not address his present condition to the worried DUers.
On May 19 (at what time?) Sick Andy posts a terse memo, not about his sickness, surgery,or his phone call to a Freeper, but about "Susan Truitt taking her six year old for walk in the zoo." And something about "the four"
The Left whipped up the fears of their witless followers and vowed to overturn the 2004 election and put Kerry in the White House. Ohio was the tipping state so it was from Ohio that the calls for money went out.
And the floodgates opened. Websites, whose only purpose was to vacuum up the money pouring in, may have become conduits for untaxed moneys that went to the personal enrichment of a small group of people in Ohio...and Andy.
I don't believe that this is just about Andy and DU and the cancerous pancreas.
Bells, whistles, colored lights are going off now on FR, but only what can be judged objectively is of any real value in this.
Txradioguy posts the receipt from Swedish Hospital. In response to questions on FR about the Radiology report supposedly from Johns Hopkins way back on this thread, I suggested that the image we saw on DU was a copy of the report from Swedish Hospital Seattle.
This was not some flash of genius. In earler posts on DU someone was asking about "the tests from Swedish Hospital" and then, poof, a test report appears with JOHNS HOPKINS
HOSPITAL typed in and the names of JH doctors.
People like Bev and Andy and Susan Truitt and Skinner and Pitt use their abilities to keep their followers mired in ignorance and fear, and after robbing them of their discernment, they rob them of their money.
Bev and Andy and the rest, are not worthy of respect, nor are there remarks worthy of serious considerstion, in my opinion. Others may differ. Neither of us are required by the rules on FR to defend or justify our positions.
I Googled and could not find any case of Undie uttering "politicize my plight."
The closest I came was the tedious William Rivers Pitt, in a "truthout" column (whatever that is), dated May 03, 2005, where he COMPARES Andy's "plight" to that of millions of uninsured Americans:
A few weeks ago, Andy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, one of
> the more dangerous varieties of the disease. His doctors told him he
> needed a Whipple procedure to get at the tumor, and only a few
> hospitals in America can perform this complicated procedure with the
> required competence. To compound the problem, Andy shares the plight
> of millions of others in our disgusting for-profit health care system
> and does not have health insurance.
>
> A friend with connections was able to get him a slot at Johns
> Hopkins, one of the premier medical facilities in America that
> specializes in Whipple procedures. Johns Hopkins, however, required a
> $25,000 down-payment before they would let Andy onto an operating
> table. Furthermore, they required the payment immediately, and wanted
> another $25,000 once the surgery was done. Andy and his friends
> spiraled into despair as they faced this seemingly insurmountable
> obstacle.
>
> And then, something remarkable happened. Friends of Andy posted
> the details of his plight on a few Left-leaning websites. Left-wing
> talk-show hosts Mike Malloy and Thom Hartmann filled their listeners
> in on the situation. Donations for Andy started to come in, and then
> pour in, and then flood in. People without jobs, and themselves
> without health insurance, raided their piggy banks.
>
> Within 100 hours, Andy Stephenson had the $25,000 down-payment he
> needed to save his life. It came as nickels, as dimes, as dollar
> bills, but it came.
>
> The moral? That which unites the Left is far, far greater than
> that which divides them. Yes, there are seemingly insurmountable
> obstacles standing in the way. Yes, frustration and despair are
> rampant. Yet when the righteousness, passion and strength of the Left
> are combined, they can stand up next to a mountain and chop it down
> with the edge of their hand.
When a person dies... you would think loved ones would communicate to us from the other side. There must be some way to do it. I think that will be my mission from the other side. Sort of the AT&T of the spirit realm.
Oh, no! Undie's going to be haunting us from the other side!
Notice he's in the Lounge???
