"He has the ability to be persuasive, that is his job."

"As a former telephone salesperson, he has skills that Harris lacks: He's great on the phone or talking one-on-one with people."

"For seven years, he worked at the phone company..."

I'm sure that 7 years as a telephone company salesperson (telemarketer) teaches one many things about being "persuasive", especially OVER THE TELEPHONE.

Don't worry. I'm good at holding down forts, being the last man off the ship. The felonious Andy will have a "pursuer" until he is put in a place where he poses no danger to infants, imbeciles, incapables, and DUmmies.

I am sorry if you feel ignored

What a nasty asnine post! I have never said I felt ignored... I said you have asked me to step down. I also said (if I didn't say it directly, I will now) Speed mislead us for days! When he made his half statement today, I was very disheartened. I know what I was told and you asked me to hang in there. Now you are pretending that I was the one with problems???

Beg your pardon, sir.

I thought it was a rather polite post.

speed_addiction, being human, made a common human error, and of course we were disappointed in the results.

But if "jumping the gun" is a problem, then we all in here are problems, because we've all at one time or another jumped the gun.

I thought it was San Diego that was supposed to get an earthquake, not Alaska.

I think a brilliant course of action is to disarm the opposition by creating doubts. I wouldn't go back to my side because that would be too easy and would never have the full effect of quelling the subject completely. All I need is a plan. The plan would be to find one or two easy targets.

I would first find someone that would qualify. That someone would probably be someone that seems to have fallen the most for the conspiracies, respected among peers, and listened to by other players. They must have the need for attention and respect - but yet honest to some degree. I would test that someone. If they pass the test I would then go to phase two. Spend some time researching the individual, watch their actions. On to step 3.

Contact.

I would then use my unique gifts of persuasion. This would be easy to do because they must have gullible qualities. I will be affable, likable, and believable. They will be too star struck to ask the hard questions. I will convince them. Since they liked to be included and want to be at the forefront of the game, my work is simple. How could I make them feel included? Let them feel like they got the insider scoop, by giving them my inside scoop as I want them to see it.

Now instead of having to answer to the sharks whence I came, I can let that doubt propagate and fester on the opposition's side. The lackeys on my side from the beginning that began to doubt - would see this and fall back into the "I believe" syndrome because they see the opposition falter.

Brilliance.

What gets me is some super-bright, super-intelligent, super-cerebral lad of the Jewish persuasion masquerading as a middle-class suburban goy housewife, when really, there is no need to.

I've been trying to figure out if there is some sort of pattern with this particular post and can't figure out what it could be. What's it mean? Why you posting it? I need at least one mystery solved today.

Brilliant is right; that sounds like what someone (not necessarily the felonious Andy) did to speed_addiction.

My own faith in speed_addiction remains solid; he is after all human, not perfect.

Makes lots of sense. But for one thing-- If I were an Undie donator (or someone else looking into this), I would still want to see proof of the money raised versus money paid to JH. So, while he might buy himself some time by quelling doubts-- like someone posted earlier-- "show me the money!!!"

"Can I ask why? It seems to be a burden on him."

And I am sure that Krodg is touched by your solicitude, but it is not necessary that Krodg give out information merely to prove that he/she has it, or to alleviate your concern for his welfare.

Common courtesy dictates that we respect the wishes of others, when our own interests are not threatened; I am sure you and other posters, even those whose curiosity might be considered excessive, will agree.

Think about - this is a common tactic. It works every time it is tried. Psychological warfare 101. Politics 101. Playground 101.

It is brilliant. Why bother persuading the followers?

Why do politicians move to the middle during an election - because they know the lackeys will be there.

You know, sir, that is perhaps the most illuminating, most enlightening, thing we've all learned today.

They don't have to convince most of the DUmmies--but there is a, uh, problem with a few dubious DUmmies, who on their own sooner or later might make things hotter.

Well, the only way they can convince those few dubious DUmmies is by convincing their skeptics, us.

Right on. And if you look around I think you find that his paypal address is different depending on the sites it was on. Just a hunch. All receipts for the last six months from all paypal accounts, amazon accounts, and direct deposits would suffice.

I agree. This is BBB Bev's former right hand man we're talking about.

Whether she scammed DU or anyone I do not know. The DUmmies (including Andy) and many others think she did. And so far she hasn't done anything to dispel that slanderous notion.

So, I'm coming from the BBV Bev was scammimg allegations, okay, so who was her right hand man during all the alleged scamming? Why it's the illustrious Mr. Stephenson.

And nobody at DU ever makes that connection. If Bev was scamming, her right hand man and travel buddy wasn't?

I still don't think this is over. Not by a long shot.
