Speed hasn't confimed that he is in the hospital, only that he was spotted there. As for the checks being cashed, I have some suspicions about that but will keep them to myself for awhile.
Thanks, I'm pretty proud of myself. I was being sarcastic when I said this thread was hurting my efforts. It's really comic relief more than anything else. Slow day at the office.
A dishonest call for urgency...he may still have need the money for some kind of surgery, just not a life threatening one. A fine line. But what is it? He needed money for a surgery, he asked DUmmies to donate, they did. What was dishonest was "I needed the money yesterday...hurry hurry!"
I have been watching this whole thing with some interest. However, I have not ever made any conclusions about what was actually going on. Things sure looked a bit shifty, but who could really tell? I find these threads to be simple, fun, diversions. Watching the DUmmies is fun, and no matter what is actually going on, the fact that they are running around like chickens with their heads cut off is hilarious! That, and the fact remains that they are an exceedingly gullible bunch. I think the future of such fund raisers is in question, regardless.

I'll post this quick. The Checks were FEd Exed to JH on the day in question. The checks HAVE cleared with Verity.
Andy apparently did have some problems show up in the biopsies in Seattle. A hyperdense mass(?) and a stent was put in.
He did have the MRI at JH, had the bowel flush. He has either a cancer that can be treated with a good chance of survival or a go ahead for funeral arrangements.
The May 26th surgery is for real.
The money?
I will know a little more on that later.
Today has been unusually busy here and I am shorthanded with one of my employees seeking better money in the oil fields and quitting.
islet cell... the cells that make insulin from the pancreas I think (?) this is the kind that Steve Jobs had and he was predicting a better outcome for himself than many thought should happen with pancreatic CA
And the other one mentioned is for lung cancer, I believe.
I just Googled it, and it seems there is more than one type of "isthmus malignancy".

the so called circus was not created by the majority ot DU'ers, imo. It was initiated, sexed up and promoted by hysterical fund raisers, who in their zeal, were quite cruel to those who had legitimate questions.
I have reached the point where I think that the only thing that can clear this up to the satisfaction of all, and in a logical manner bereft of opinion and hysteria and magical thinking, is legal intervention.
Only then, imo, can the facts, as defined in legal chambers, be presented--not with hysteria--not with emotion, but backed up by real evidence.
In order to supply the evidence that what we were presented with in a willy nilly emotional and convoluted presentation, some legal challenge must be initiated. We are entitled to that and those who initiated this have a responsibility to do so. The onus is upon them and no one else.
That is the ONLY way this issue can be set to rest. This sorry situation is NOT the fault of anyone else but those who decided to do this on a public forum and subsequently raised questions because of their inept handling of information.
