Wrong words, how can either religion be wrong if you are a Christian ?
It's much more interesting to watch the return of Israel from it's captivity among the nations ~ it lasted much, much longer than that of the Jews.

Ummm...you ARE aware that the Jewish faith holds that Jesus Christ is NOT the Savior of Man, aren't you?
If they felt otherwise, they'd be Christians, not Jews.

You help my point. The Hebrews adopted much of the Biblical creation myth and much of Genesis from the Babylonians while in captivity circa 500 BCE.

You're exactly right. But Ishmael was not the child of the promise. That was Isaac.
The LORD told Abraham and Sarah that they will have a child. Only Isaac fulfilled that promise because he was sired in the union of Abraham and Sarah.
Abraham sired Ishmael but that was only of the flesh.
Only takes about 40 hours for an average reader. Skip the begats ... they only matter if you want to study geneology and attendant prophecy. A time line is also really good. You realize what Prophets were contemporary with what kings.
I'm aware, but both religions are so tied together that we haven't gone to war with each other over who is more right since the Romans. Without Christians, Israel would never have been formed again, so at least there is a lot of respect for each other and the right to exist. That's what life is all about, allowing people to think different than you and not wanting to kill them for it.
You probably know that the Islamists believe Ishmael went up to Mt. Moriah with Abraham ... not Isaac. I also just recently learned that Mt. Moriah is under the Dome of the Rock.
God also slighted the first born in the case of Easau and Jacob.

Prophecy is self evident, what do you mean ?
I mean that some have made Bible Prophecy the center of their worship - thats not healthy spiritually. Its a trap that Screwtape would employ.
