Good one. . .

"Well, you should read what we voted on when we voted to support the war, which I did not, but most of my colleagues did. It was WMD, period. That was the reason and the causation for that, you know, particular vote. . ."

This lie has been part of the Dem re-write. . .it is and has been. . .repeated by every Dem on TV. . .MSM et al. . since we went to war. It was 'the lie' that Kerry challenged Bush on; at every turn. . . The sad part is that they are NEVER corrected. . .NEVER. . .their LIE is cast. . .takes root. . .grows and becomes a fact in the Demrat playbook.

Repubs share the blame here; they know that this lie; like every other Democrat lie. . .will become a Demrat mantra. . .for as long as it serves their agenda.

I really wish Repubs would learn that there is such a thing as 'too late smart'. . .

Did you not watch the hearing?

Please do not denigrate if you don't know what you're talking about (and believe me, as someone who watched it, you are out of line).

Finally someone making the case that Iraq was supporting international terrorism.

"Finally"?

The case is from the original resolution. From years ago.

If I were a Senator questioning Condi, I'd ask, "What is your favorite caliber for a pistol?"

If she doesn't have enough experience with firearms to decide on a favorite caliber, I'd then invite her to a pistol range (after the other less-friendly Senators jab her with biased questions). Then she can go through an armory of side arms and lots of ammunition to figure out which one she likes best. Of course, since it would be our first date, I would foot the bill.

Condi is so cool, I'd buy her a gun.

Wrong. I don't know if Boxer will or won't, but Kennedy and Kerry are two other possible no votes. Then again, it could be unanimous yeas for confirmation. You never know since that type votes based on machinations, not principle.

These people do not care about integrity.

They want to throw out as many absurdities as possible, knowing that their PR firms will report it with no corrections or context.

They want to convince the public that America is bad, Bush is evil, Saddam was innocent, and the war is not worth supporting.

If you tell the masses enough absurdities, they will commit atrocities, hate, and protest.

And since for most their followers history begins when they wake up in the morning, their propaganda works!

The left thrives on hatred of America, it is their goal.

I am not out of line ( who knows what you are talking about?) It is my opinion that the only Republican Senator on the committee that really stood up for Miss Rice was George Allen.

Obviously, Condi was brilliant - that's not the point!!Boxer going beyond the pale added not one whit to the efficacy of the hearings. Simple comity, good manners and good TV called for a slap down of Babs Boxer. Lugar got a good nap.
If I get a grip, my typing skills are diminished.

Actually, Bush 41, joined a UN coalition that asked us to help, he had to abide by and respect their request NOT to go into Baghdad, for Saddam, and "stability".

At that time, and with that President, the UN was respected, by some, (not me).

Actually, citing the Iraq Liberation Act trumps all other reasons. When do we go to war? When it is in our "National Interest". But not explicitly stated is one of the fundamental reasons we will go to war: to defend or create a democratic (free) nation. As long as there is a Republican in office, we will never let a free nation be enslaved.

What was the Cold War all about? Too different visions of the future world. Totalitarian communism or all free nations. When the Soviet Union crumbled, we won, but we did not take advantage of our win. That is because Clinton was in office and the Democrats' goal is a totalitarian U.S. subservient to a totalitarian world governing body. To the world's left, democracy makes the 10 most dangerous ideas list. The Republicans woke up and realized that we won and that we need to press ahead with our world vision of free nations.

Remember freedom is still very new. We are only 200+ years free and countries like Germany and Japan are only 50+ years free. Others are newly free. There is a lot of resistance to freedom, even in the free countries by the elite that perceive they would benefit more from the old system. In deed, many (especially Europe) believe this freedom and democracy thing is a flash in the pan; a fad. They believe the natural order of things is for the elite and privilege's to run a totalitarian type system. There is a lot of nostalgia for royalty, including U.S. liberals that would like to become royalty.

There can be no World Peace without World Freedom!

Democracy may be messy, but it beats every alternative!
