So, a racist was one of your "favorites?"

Is this your imitation of Jesse Jackson? Take your Race Cards and Get Lost. You obviously have no clue about sneakypete.

There are plenty of conservative, republican Bush supporters, that get POd at politics as practiced by the men in office. Rush has overblown the notion of the seminar caller, to smear those that disagree. Any opinion that is well stated, and intelligently offered, has a right to be taken at face value, without being tarred with the broad brush of being called a seminar caller.

Caught ya....I thought you were supposed to be typing....we're all in limbo you know....lol

I'm sorry to see him go even if I differ on some points over this issue with him.

A good man.

I hate to see you go, sneakypete. Many long timers have left FR, and I miss them. I'll miss you.

I never paid much attention to Eschoir. It was Jack Thompson who used to make me laugh - especially when I'd picture him running around in that Batman costume of his. Too bad he had to go all stupid here. But you gotta hand it to him, his hatred of Reno never let up or his efforts waiver in bringing her down.

Well said.....

The usual self righteous indignation masquerading as conservatives crowd...

Not that I agreed with everything he uttered...far from it....but I did respect him

And they call this an extreme right wing forum in the media....that kills me..lol

The think nice thoughts vultures are feeding on his bones tonight....and he provided it for them no doubt.

"Yup again, but we don't flock in honking gaggles." LOL!!!You got that right.

I admired sneakypete. He was straight up no holds bared debater. Didn't agree with him all the time but he was fun to read. He could get fired up.

That's not an argument. And you didn't answer the question, which was "obvious."

Lastly, you never tell me what to do. Okay?

"Well then, don't. I challenge you to go out right now and do whatever it is you once did routinely that today you believe you cannot. BTW, what might that be?"
- -
You didn't ask me, but I have a couple of things.
-
Tinker with my car engine to see how it runs
without wondering about the ppm of CO in the exhaust.
-
Order a shotgun from the Sears and Roebuck catalog.
-
Drive to the grocery store without wondering if I have
all the proper paperwork and identity cards on me.
-
Wonder what to do about the gun in my collection that
just got declared to be illegal for one reason or another.
-
Hope I filled out my taxes correctly when not even the IRS
can properly explain how to fill out all of the forms.
-
Go get on an airplane without first having to do some
paranoid inventory of all the items in my luggage.
-
Go through an airport without worrying that some off-hand
remark might be taken the wrong way and I get arrested.
-
Hire whoever I wanted to without analyzing my employee
records first to see if I was diverse enough to pass muster.
-
Pay someone what a job was actually worth without having
to pay an arificial minimum-wage.
-
Type on this computer / talk on the phone without wondering
what government agent is taking notes of my activities.
- -
I could probably come up with more, if given some time.

I don't hate the man. There's nothing in my post that would indicate so. In fact, if you've got the threads archived, you'll see that I asked him to stay and help in the fight. Shoots that theory all to he!!, doesn't it?

Don Morgan's exit was one of the longest in history. Ice ages came and went before he did. But we did have plenty of warning ...

Dang Pete. I disagree with you on this one but to see some of the people on my side of the fence and you on the other makes me wonder if I haven't screwed up somewhere.

Vaya con Dios.

Sneakypete almost died, you know. I find it amusing that if he had, everybody would have had their mourning rags on and praising him to high heaven instead of trashing him like some have done on this thread.

(That comment is not taking sides. I don't know and don't care what happened to bring about this incident. I just wanted to share my amusement.)

Now you're defending those folks at LF, where 75% of the posts sound like something from Stormfront?

Hating Nazis is never "petty".

Kevin, I will call you on this. I know senakypete personally and do not recall a single time when he beat anyone over the head with the particulars of his own Vietnam service. To the contrary, I will lay odds that there are very few people here on FR who actually know how dangerous, meritorious or extreme his experience and service was there.

That's because, to my knowledge, he has never personally spoken of it here.

There are some posters on FR who, in his defense, have indicated to other posters that sneakypete was the real deal ... but I have neve seen or heard him do it on his own account other than to say he was there.

Please point me to where he has clubbed others over the head with it to win a political point".

...had they been offered up by a Democrat instead of a Republican..

???? I beg to differ with you

Present day Democrats have no balls, when it comes to PROTECTING the citizens of the U.S. They are wimps. We wouldn't be in this mess had it not been for Sissy Carter. He had no idea what to do to prevent our embassy in IRAN from being taken over by the Fundamentalists. That's what started this mess, IMO. Clintoon just continued his lack of balls by letting the Islamo fundamental facists bomb and kill us around the world without doing anything to protect our citizens. Geez, wake up folks, pay attention to history.

It's called PEACE through STRENGTH.

OH, If Clinton had taken the Bush position, I would have backed him 100 %, so long as he let the military be in charge. We're pssed off because he did NOTHING and left us vulnerable.

We are not prepared to charge into a valley that is surrounded by our enemies. We do not have enough troops in the field. We do not have the airpower. We do not have enough medical help arranged. Our "arsenal of democracy" sits rusting away, or given away in the form of industrial capacity in the hands of our poltiical enemies.

Boy, we must have some really stupid generals leading our troops. For our own good, shouldn't you volunteer to pin a few stars on and take over?
