Christ never instituted that words be said over unleavened bread , or wine, and they would be transformed. You know that , as do I.
To illustrate that, I proposed the question of poison being put into the wine. If it is the now pure blood of Christ, then the poison would be nullified, right? So if the faithful actually believe that the wine is by transubstantiation the blood of Christ, then they would drink it without a second thought.
My point was to make people think if they REALLY believed it literally, or if it was just a symbolic gesture. I wanted whoever read it to think. I am no longer, but was Catholic, and I was taught that when the priest blessed that wine, it becomes the actual blood of Christ.
I thank God for His Word, for in that, and that alone is there truth. Hope I explained it better.
I never post on these kinds of threads, because I would rather only speak if asked. I guess when it comes to many things in the Catholic Church, because I lived them...it got the better of me, and I posted. If anyone is reading here, they know how to find answers...His Word..not my word or anyone else's. He left us a letter, to be opened and read. He gave His Holy Spirit to desern truth, but more than that, He gave Himself.
