If you would read articles and letters written by the Founding Fathers, you would discover that HB is fairly consistent with their views.

Aye, there's the rub. Problem is, most Americans don't have a clue what the founders believed. And that goes for most people here on FR. They've never read their writings, or they'd be shocked at how close the founders' beliefs were to those of whom they now label the "extreme right" and "tinfoil people."

This country has become exactly what Washington, Jefferson, and others warned us against - and most Americans are cheering it on.

...But the rest of us realists have to make the decisions to punch foreign dictators and tyrants in the mouth in order to keep our nation safe.

Nobody wants to preserve the Constitution more than me but the reality is that this country or World will never go back to 1776 so we're gonna have to make decisions that get the best results for our Nation right here, right now.

KW, this thread is a good example of why I rarely come here anymore. FR is symptomatic of the country's "conservatives" at large - after generations of government schooling and television, they have become truly ignorant of this country's beginnings, the Constitution, and what freedom really is.
