I didn't follow VA, but heard he was banned. bluedogdemo, okcsubmariner, and DrLiberty's bannings/nukings troubled and still trouble me.

Yep, -- I don't 'get' it either. Why nuke threads and ban people now that it's not even needed? The backroom idea is ~ working ~ from what I can see, and could have been used on the 'anarchy' threads easily.

I guess the rules violators contribute too much toward operating expenses, so they are granted free reign. I would just like JR to admit that someday. That WOULD be worth the price of a subscription.

I refuse to believe that contributions make a difference, but rather that JR just gets really pissed at anyone who takes him on directly and/or holds a position with more passion than sense...and which is contrary to the webmaster's principles.

Those who seem to get away with obnoxious behavior like the JDL and Amen Corner have the drill down to a tee...they don't never ever argue with the boss...and everyone of us have on occasion taken the ptb's to task.

And, of course there are the in your face lib ertarians who seem to want to push the envelope as far as possible...and some Republicans who let their egos run their motor. Then again there are the truly blessed Liberal Democrats like moi whose good nature and natural suck up abilities have not gone unrewarded. If you or Scuttlebutt or tpaine want me to tutor y'all in the fine old art of ass kissing...just let me know by regular email....since we all KNOW that John regularly gives JR our passwords and they both snoop our FReepmail.

Morning, guys. i talked to OPH this weekend and he asked me to let all of you know that he loves and will miss us all, but he is going to be leaving FR. he didn't elaborate much, other than to say that something bad happened at home and that he is asking for our thoughts for his family. i am very sad to say that we won't have OPH to kick around anymore, but i certainly understand his need to straighten out things at home.
