When my son was in high school, we got to talking about perfume and Axe and stuff. He commented that girls wear perfume they like but guys don’t care for it much.
Guys, however, really liked the smell of Axe, so if a girl really wanted to get a guy’s attention, she would wear Axe instead of perfume. Then the guys would think she was REALLY hot.
The point being that if people want to impress someone, they should wear what the other person likes.
That said, I do like most men’s aftershave or cologne. I think the one that the women at work liked most was called Chaz. When one of the bosses would wear it all the women noticed. This was probably 30 years ago so hopefully, they didn’t change the fragrance.
I remember Chaz. Might have even used it.
I loved Opium.
That is so true.
Having my eyes burn out from a fragrance is no fun at all, but just a little bit that you just catch a whiff of when someone passes you by that leaves you wondering what it was that smelled so good is just what you’re looking for.
yeah men or women
it can be too much
but often with these scents, less is more
plus the bottle lasts longer then :)
There is a pepper stench that some women bathe in and you can smell them from across the store. All of them that wear it use at least 1 bottle per application. Im told it was considered quite high end in the ‘40s or so. I always assume they tend to have problems with a leaky colostomy bag.
I think Id rather smell the bag.
Worst thing in the world is being stuck in an elevator with a woman who bathed herself in cheap perfume. Guaranteed migraine for the rest of the day and possible asthma attack.
That was the ONE nice thing about mask mandates...not having to smell that.
Only equaled by walking into a church sanctuary to be greeted by several women wearing too much perfume, and not the same kind.
I bet you also were partial to Shalimar before the frag ‘Opium’ was marketed.
BTW France is no longer the center of fragrance creation. America took over decades ago.
Never heard of it.
Then the next time you shop at the mall stop in and ask the girl at the fragrance counter about Shalimar by Guerlain.
It’s been on the market since 1921.
Have you ever heard about Chanel #5?

Yes, for Chanel #5 but no on the Gianni.
My problem now is allergies to fragrances.
I love them. My body doesn’t.
