The narrative is that the tariffs are causing a recession. The truth is that they are creating recessions in China and Europe, but a resurgence of the economy in America.
Expertise and success in one narrow field does not equate to any particular degree of understanding elsewhere, as this strange interview demonstrates. If this guy has made a few billion in bonds it was a fluke, he’s completely misreading the current situation with Trump.

This guy is insane. If there is a ‘recession’ its not going to be a gigantic haircut for the economy. The job market while cooling is still strong and isn’t going to evaporate in the course of a year, sorry. This is a fundamentally strong market right now being helped along by a Fed that now seems intent on doing their part to sustain it. Trump doesnt seem like the type of guy who would bail while he is decisively WINNING at every turn. Democrats have nothing to offer and Trumps accomplishments are voluminous. This guy suggesting the economy is his only talking point is quite ignorant.
