It’s done because it always works to feed those who love a scandal. Demorats always use “sexual scandals” because they know what offends Republicans. It doesn’t make a difference to them because they have no morals.

Really, unless and until there is some verification, this is wholly inappropriate - the man has two young children. I don't want to see either Trump or Cruz further smeared or damaged in this primary process. I'm not thrilled with either of the two guys remaining, but I'm voting for whomever the nominee is because the alternative is simply worse.
We have been in this circular firing squad for months now, in an election that the Democrats simply cannot win. And every day of this nastiness just makes that more and more likely.

Which is enough to make you wonder if this is a plant from the Cruz team. It is a known political tactic—the Clintons used it to great success—to plant an exaggeration of a charge, have that debunked, and thereby develop immunity against accusations of the actual truth, were they to emerge.
To be completely frank I'd still vote for Trump if these sleazy accusations were made about him and it was discovered that some of it was true... so I don't reject Cruz because of this, I reject him because he is unfit to serve for other reasons.
Cruz just wants it too badly... he seems to be willing to abandon all principles to win.

Thank you for posting that. I don't know why so many people who probably like to think of themselves as good people would think it is so funny to throw around these kind of unsupported smears.
If they turn out to be supported smears, then we've got to deal with that, and that will be ugly. Some innocent people wil unfortunately be hurt, but that's unavoidable.
But spreading around these kind of smears now is completely avoidable at this point.
I’m active on Twitter and there have been a number of fake Trump accounts exposed as Cruz supporters in actuality, posting rumors and lies to catch the Trump people. I’m sure it works the other way too sometimes.
There’s one way to avoid any of that mess - simply don’t believe or pass on anything you read until you’ve checked it yourself.

The "Selective Outrage" card was directed at all of those people who are running to their fainting couches over this mocking of Ted Cruz, after they have completely ignored all of the sleazy things that he has done to other candidates during the course of this campaign.
Last time I looked, people are free to cast aspersions on a hypocrite - especially a political one, which is what this thread is about. People have mocked politicians for centuries.
But of course, you go ahead and post a tirade about moral outrage over "lack of evidence". We will continue to deride Ted Cruz and his abject hypocrisy.

Well, I think that's one thing we can safely say is not true, because anyone falsely trying to portray themselves as an army officer is not "classy" by definition.
