It was the year 1969 that the infamous Tate/LaBianca murders occurred. Charles Manson had briefly become Dennis Wilson’s protégé before the murders, and the trauma of this episode affected Dennis for his remaining 14 years. In 2006, in an interview with Goldmine magazine, McGuinn was asked about his involvement in Subud. Here is what he said:
“ I had been flirting with it from The Village. I got interested in it in New York and sorta followed through in L.A. By 1967 I was into it. By ’67 I was into it whole hog. Legally, I only changed my middle name. My first name is still James. If someone wrote a check to Jim McGuinn, I could still cash it (laughs). I switched my middle name. It was Joseph, and I switched it to Roger. And started using Roger as a first name. There was a Subud house in downtown L.A. on Hope Street, and The Beach Boys used to hang out there. I remember that. Then, Brian (Wilson) formed his own chapter at his house during his ‘sandbox’ phase.”
McGuinn would leave Subud by 1977 and return to his Christian faith.
Utterly fail to see what membership of Subud by a bunch of entertainers in the sixties has to do with ‘the strange death of Loretta Fuddy’ even allowing for her short period of employment by the HDOH and her hand in making zero’s ‘funny’ birth certificate available.

I'm not sure the pipeline will flood the market, as the Tar Sands bitumen is a very heavy crude. More likely it would displace Venezuelan feedstocks and other heavy crude, which in turn would go to China and India. If Keystone isn't built, the Canadians will build a pipeline to the west coast and sell to the Far East instead.

No idea who they are, the source of that image remains a mystery. Some of them have been identified as students at the U of HI. Who the men are that look like dock-workers is unknown. The composition suggests a farewell, and the age of both the kenyan and Stanley Armour suggests it was at the time of the kenyans 1970 visit.

You are probably correct. But I doubt with 0 inherited $$$ that he has any idea how his interest fit into the larger scene. He certainly isn’t the brightest bulb but he may be of the same screwy shape. ;-)
