And yes, on second thoughts it might be possible that birth took place in Mombasa, but just how the family, which would have comprised of Onyango, his pregnant first wife and his wife number two, Sarah...all ended up in Mombasa at a festival during which time they went to the beach...in 1934 or 1936 (the kenyan student had TWO birth years) seems like a logistical nightmare.

It used to be a bushy untamed village with no tarmacked roads, no electricity, no water piping, no hospitals, and only skeletal schools where pupils and students sit on stones and classes were taught under trees without books and other materials for learning.

If you ever listened to the first garbled translated recording of the telephone interview, you would have heard ‘granny’ Sarah attempting to make it clear that the Barack Hussein Obama she was talking about when she said she was there at his birth, WAS THE KENYAN STUDENT.
IOW, what did they know and when did they know it?

Anna appears to have been the student who enrolled at the U of HI in THE FALL OF 1960. She was listed as a resident at the birth announcement address in the Polk directory as Ann S Obama (Student) and then shows up in Seattle in the 1961-1962 directory in Capitol Hill as ANNA OBAMA where Mary says she babysat for her when her own daughter who was born in July 1959 was 18 months of age.
That would indicate that ANN/ANNA was in Hawaii until late 1960 or very early 1961.
Just when would she have had the time to travel back and forth to Kenya?

The friendship promoted between Tom Mboya and the kenyan student is a myth, Tom had nothing to do with the kenyan student coming to Hawaii, he was already there when the first airlift aircraft landed at Idelwild.

It is easy to demonstrate that Stanley Ann was not in Hawaii during the first part of 1961. She stopped attending classes at the University. According to the records of the University of Hawaii, Stanley Ann dropped out at the end of the fall semester.
We know the Dunhams were still living at 2277 Kamehameha Ave. — a few blocks from the university. If Stanley Ann was in Hawaii, and living with her parents as the Wood note suggests, it would be reasonable to conclude she would have continued with her studies. She would have completed the spring semester around her sixth month. Even pregnant, she could have easily finished out her freshman year.
So where was she?

They are all dead ends. Let me ask you, what do you think is more important...being seen to be clever, having the last word, or being presented with information that allows you to reach your own conclusions?
