Maybe it’s about time FR stopped treating their members like mushrooms. Even a child needs to be told why he’s being punished. Why remove an entire series of comments without any indication of WTF FOR?

It’s got me tricked why so many comments have been removed, might it have something to do with someone trying to raise funds for something? I was too busy making posts to notice what was going on around me.

There were complaints from one of this thread's Posters about Freepathon posts on this thread. Those Freepathon posts have been removed.
Thanks very much for the reply...but why would anyone complain about freepathon posts on a thread? The best thing they could do is DONATE and make the freepathon posts GO AWAY!

In one of the removed posts you listed above, a Poster had posted two copyright restricted images. One of the photos was from USA Today, which is owned by Gannett and the other photo was from the Washington Post.

Senior’s life began to change when he encountered two American women missionary teachers. They helped him to sign up for a correspondence course leading to a secondary school certificate. He took the equivalency test at the US Embassy, and passed. He then applied to numerous universities in the United States, and in 1958, with the help of Tom Mboya, won a scholarship at the University of Hawaii.

In the crowded Ribeiro Street office, Obama started out as a low-level clerk assigned to basic office tasks. He took dictation, helped organize the office, and assisted with translations in Luo and Swahili. But he was soon promoted to the writing committee, composed of half a dozen young men assigned to write elementary adult readers in their native language.
Dressed in jacket and tie, Obama and the other writers sat at long wooden tables, carefully penning the pamphlets used as follow-up to the literary primers. If the high-arching Obama grumbled that the work was somewhat menial, he also realized that the job was a critical first step toward fulfilling his dream. First, the work was exceptionally well paying. But more important, teaching literacy was a critical component in the advance toward independence.
In all, Obama wrote three books in Luo that employed “Otieno” the wise man as a model instructor.The first book was Otieno Jarieko, Kitabu Mokuongo: Yore Mabeyo Mag Rito Ngima, or “Otieno Jarieko, the Wise Man, the First Book: Wise Ways of Health.” Otieno describes a variety of healthy foods, demonstrates how to use a knife and fork, and gives instruction in the proper way to build a latrine.
Wise ways of farming
The second and third books center on Otieno’s teachings of the wise ways of farming and citizenship, respectively. Obama worked on the three books almost the entire year and a half that he assisted Mooney, and he proudly included them on his résumé.
Working closely with the American women and a handful of their Kenyan assistants, Obama kept his bravado under close wraps and toed the line. The style in the office was highly cooperative and the staff represented a host of different tribes, due in part to the need for materials written in varied tribal languages.
It also talks about another Kenyan student that gave up a full scholarship, room, and board to go to London to visit a sick sister that didn’t exist to perhaps get an “abortion?”

9/17/1962 Obama Senior writes extension request. In request he indicates his birth date is in 1936 and not 1934. He list ‘Married’ but no spouse name. List child ‘Roy’.
9/18/1962 Lolo Soetoro comes to US.
9/20/1962 SAD returns to Hawaii from Washington. Lives with parents.
6/6/1963 BHO Senior writes extension request with birth date of 1936 instead of 1934. Form is mostly typed. Fields for Spouse and Child are blank. Hand written admin note and arrow to proper indicates ‘He is married’.
6/15/1963-9/1/1963 Lolo Soetoro does ‘mainland tour’ at Northwestern U and Wisconsin U. Dates are not exact.
12/12/1963 Kenya becomes independent.
1/20/1964 Date Stanley Ann signs paper swearing to mistreatment - paper is filed in divorce.
1/23/1964 Filing of Obama Stanley Ann Divorce
3/8/1964 Final divorce Decree for SAD and BHO Sr.
4/21/1964 Obama files extension request. DOB in own hand is 1936 and form list Obama II as USC son who is 2 years old and list SAD as wife (untrue since divorce was final).
4/24/1964 Sukarno arrives in the US. Officially greeted by President Kennedy.
7/6/1964 BHO Sr. leaves US.
Based on these documents Obama adopts a new birth date in between August 31, 1961 and September 17, 1962. In between these dates is when he moved from Hawaii to Harvard.
I have speculated he did this for one of the following reasons:
a) to ‘match-up’ the incorrect date on Obama II’s forms.
or
b) He needed to be younger for some reason at Harvard or to stay in the US or some other reason.
It is not just sloppiness by him or administrators. Its in his own hand. He changed it. And once he changed it the 1936 was used continuously. To this day you will find the 1936 date as the ‘official’ date in biographies, etc. No reporter or investigator or government official has ever explained why he changed his birth date.

Many thanks for the correction as to that “Obama file” web site and how the info is set up.
I didn’t realize that not everything in it would have as its source tangible/solid things, such as transcripts or letters from schools.
I will stick to tangible things generated by reputable organizations like INA (docs on 0 SR), educational institutions (docs on 0 SR, immigration rules) , etc.
I question the 4/24/64 entry where Sukarna arrives in the US and is officially greeted by President Kennedy. JFK died on 11-22-63 and did not greet anyone 6 months after his death.
Your source (the Maseno staffer giving his impression of what is in the record to a reporter who is writing down the interview and subject to error) says “his elder brother, Joseph, left for unexplained reasons in 1951.”
Okanda is reported to be reading from a numbered index card for Sr. but NO card number is given nor is he reported to support his recollection of the older brother from a card. This does not remotely form the basis of a claim that Sr. had an older brother who is not recorded anywhere else.
The Yusuf in the family tree that you yourself posted is a son of Sarah and younger brother of Omar of the liquor store in MA who was born in 1944. Although positioned higher on your family tree, all of Sarah’s children were born later than BHO Sr. and Sr. has NO full brother and NO older half brother.
There may have been a cousin from the clan that he mistakenly referred to as a brother, for example.

Correct. In this tree Yusuf in this tree is consistent with the Wiki page, but refutes your claim that he is BHO Sr.’s older brother.
It impossible for Yusuf to have been the “older brother” of Sr. at Maseno because the Yusuf in this family tree is the fourth child of Ganny Sarah and her first, Omar, was born in 1944 long after BHO Sr.
Akumu, Onyango’s second wife, is reportedly born in 1918 and had her first daughter in 1933 at age 15 followed by BHO Sr. in 1934 at age 16. If true, there is hardly room for an elder brother for BHO Sr. and no record of any older half brother named Yusuf from Onyango’s unnamed, apparently childless first wife.
