"I agree. I like Ellen. She isnt in-your-face lesbian, and I find her funny." Exactly. And I'll even admit to finding her 'coming out' episode on her sitcom well written and very funny! lol

I’m not sure how accurate this is but....
from zabasearch
http://www.zabasearch.com/ai_stats.php
Phil, LaKisha and Chris are bottom three, Period!
This is the accurate outcome of votes cast. American Idol’s network and call capture systems not capable of accurately counting votes in this volume. Accurate voting results can only be achieved by vote samplings. Phil, LaKisha and Chris received the fewest votes this week, Period. No one is going home because American Idol does not know the accurate vote count. Domestic phone network trunks not able to handle the volume of calls accurately. Traffic congestion shuts down and overruns switches resulting in wildly inaccurate voting counts. Sooner or later, this truth will surface in the media. This is not American Idol’s fault or their intention. Local exchange carrier phone networks simply not able to handle the volume of calls accurately. The show has become more popular than U.S. phone systems can handle.

I think they were playing with us.
They used this as their potential "shocker" --- they even said on Tuesday that there would be a shocker on Wed.
As someone else said, AI may have been concerned about the # of Jordin votes so took the opportunity to use this to "shock" her fans into voting more. --- It's worked in the past.

Hahah.....I was surprised to be honest. But, they weren’t slapping themselves on the back or anything.

Hahah.......
I just caught the end where Seacrest said Jordin was safe too, then when they started singing that song - I turned it off again.

Yep, Blake lives to taunt you another week :)
Sounds like Taylor put on a great show. Glad you had a good time.
Meanwhile, I had to watch David Schwimmer lip-syncing to "Staying Alive"

Good news: No one was eliminated and we get an extra week of Idol :) Not true -- they're going to eliminate the bottom two next week to get back on track.
To: silent_jonny
I just don't understand why they would give up an extra week of revenue and ratings. The finale is already timed to fall in the middle of May Sweeps -- they don't want it delayed.

Is it just me or did AI jump the shark last night?
To: Maximus of Texas
Is it just me or did AI jump the shark last night? Not only did they jump the shark, the shark went on-air to solicit more donations.

As someone else said, AI may have been concerned about the # of Jordin votes so took the opportunity to use this to "shock" her fans into voting more. --- It's worked in the past. That's a very good point. Which is another reason why it throws off the results.

I agree. Whenever a show steps out and doesn’t something different like that, it only goes downhill from there.
To: Lijahsbubbe
I think they learned how to manipulate John Q very early on.
To: silent_jonny
Meanwhile, I had to watch David Schwimmer lip-syncing to "Staying Alive" Geez, I'm sorry I missed it. Hahahahaha! You were with me in spirit. :-)
There were these weird couple who sat next to us. They never stood, hardly clapped, and the man looked thoroughly PO'd that people were actually standing and dancing instead of sitting quietly in their seats.
