I have no assumptions, and I have no philosophy. I need evidence/proof. I don't just believe something because somebody says to have faith. There is a great wealth of written evidence of how the bible, depending which version you choose, was assembled from selected writings by people with less-than pure motives. Why were some books included in the bible and others rejected? Why are the bible books so conflicting?

I'm quite positive that I will have no impact on your faith, as I am also sure that you will not even question your own beliefs or the rhetoric of those who have brainwashed you without a single shred of real evidence.

Anyway, have a good life and do no harm to others.

Hello, your kind words are very timely to me today, too.

I am glad that my FReeper page is meaningful to you. Proverbs 9:12 has meant much to me for fifteen years or more. Helps me keep keeping when people I rely on and/or care about make choices different from the god-fearing choices I am making.

The reason I bookmarked it is that I had gone back in my own "In Forum" section looking for a post I had made around this past February about a dream I had had. So, as I came across other threads that I wanted to remind myself of, I did a kind of a BTTT to myself. There were several other threads, too, but this is the only one in the Smoky Backroom section I think; I suppose that's why you saw it but not the others.

I assume I had a similar reason for having bookmarked it in May, but I don't recall the specifics at the moment. I have an ongoing system of archiving items to make it possible to locate them later, hopefully. Usually that's why I ping myself back to something several weeks or months after it has fizzled out. Once in a while, such threads will have a little surge of comments by others when I do, though that's not my intent, always glad if others benefit from such.

I am grateful for F.R., it's an excellent resource. I also think that in some ways, it's a tool used by the Lord for His purposes.

Yesterday and today have been a bit rough for me, so your writing to me has given me a boost. Thanks! I am glad to have apparently done the same for you.

Anyway, it is a timely thread. To some, it has the smell of life unto life, to others, it might have the smell of death unto death.
