Why be coy? Name names. I would love to know who this power mad mod is.
To: cyncooper
Nah, that'd be a pet mod that suspends or bans on command. I didn't know we had one of those.

Thanks for bothering to look and document just a few of her rantings. I just remember she swooped in on the original thread that ended up in the SBR calling people morons and evil and claiming they were bashing the military.
A more bizzare spectacle I've seldom seen.
To: general_re
Ha, we had the same question!
To: .38sw
I don't think we do.
But remember, "facts" don't matter.

GMTA ;)
As for the other thing, that's just from the last week. I'm sure I could find more if I was interested enough to look deeper.

But it would be nice if we did have one. Maybe we can domesticate one, and keep it over here.

All this outrageous, offensive, hyperbolic, unchristian, meanspirited hysteria and namecalling didn't save Terri Schiavo's life, but it may have destroyed FR. Oh good grief! Mark Twain said it best - "The reports of my death were highly exaggerated." FR is 50X more resilient any of the whiners can understand. And no, it won't won't fold because a few members, with overinflated views of their importance, write OPUS's and depart. THE BENCH IS WIDE AND DEEP!

For some reason, I'm reminded of:
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away
To: general_re
This is what you call a personal attack?
To: Long Cut
I'm familiar with your posting history because you frequent the same threads I frequent. You have made your position very clear. If you didn't want anyone to read your posts, you shouldn't have posted them. You lie about what natural death means. You advocate murdering Terri, while claiming that's perfectly natural. It isn't. Murder is wrong. Murder has always been wrong. Murder will always be wrong.

How about "you ignorant POS"? Would you call that a personal attack?

Nah, you haven't contributed to the demise of FR, simply to its lack of credibility.

I'm not talking about the ones who "opused," I'm talking about the ones who remain and continue with the Nazi allusions and rantings.

What a sad state of affairs this site has arrived at.Those prepositions at the end of a sentence are so educational for FReepers.
Indeed, "a sad state of affairs".

Yeah, I'd say calling someone a liar is a personal attack. And accusing them of advocating murder, when I know for a fact that LC opposed the death of Terri Schiavo. I'd say those are personal attacks. What would you call them, hugs and kisses?

"And I put "facts" in quotes because most of the so-called "facts" posted here were in fact "opinion."
You are indeed correct. I think what most people took exception to was the rumor, innuendo, misinformation, disinformation etc.
It is a fact that doctors gave their opinions that she had a cardiac arrest episode. To post that these doctors said she had a hear attack is incorrect.
Sure there may be different opinions where such and such doctor thinks it was a heart attack or he is intentionally being misleading, but I think most here were trying to stick with the testimony or documents of the court.
Such misinformation gives a false impression and only confuses a very emotional issue.
It is wrong to kill her is a moral issue that each must answer for themselves.
But, attending to that issue, we still have to deal with the judicial system within the context of what occurs.
Example, abortion is morally wrong, but it is legal.
Some feel capital punishment is morally wrong, but it is legal.
Similarly, killing Terri may be morally wrong, but it appears to be legal?
I can't speak for everyone, but think most here were struggling to understand how it could be legal and if so what are the circumstances that make it so. IMHO

See, you missed a perfect chance to blame your own suspension on a rogue moderator with an agenda ;)

Check out the links on my profile page for just a few of the insulting comments made about the military "
you ignorant POS"
Notice the quotation marks to indicate that is a quote, in other words an example of the personal attacks you'd like to pretend were never made. That is not me calling you names. That is one of your buddies calling me names for objecting to insults being made about a photo of a soldier whose identity none of them knew. All they knew about the man they were insulting was that he was a soldier. That was all the provocation they had.
