I think we've talked about that before. :)
I'm sure we are, somewhere along the line.
Give her a hug for me.

Hi countess! Thanks for the welcome. :)
Its been real crazy around here lately, eh? I wish I had known about this island of sanity in a sea of madness a couple of weeks ago!
I'm trying not to let the crazies get the best of me. Hopefully people will calm down and start using logic again instead of raw emotional hysteria.
I hope anyway...
To: Peach
You continue to beat them up with facts. Do you think that is fair? ;-)

All of us moms worry about our children, no matter how old they get...we could not relax about our younger son, until he started earning 3X the amount of money that my husband earns...Jewish or not, we all wish for our kiddies to do well in life, and marry well in life...its a moms instinctual way of life...
To: andysandmikesmom
Agreed. I am blessed to have my mom.

Doctor, maybe even a lawyer? Okay, you are making me feel old. When did lawyer jump ahead of Doctor?
To: countess
Oh, no, DOCTORS remain in FIRST position!
I married one!

Congratulations, friend; you worked hard for that!
To: verity
Well, they've been indoctrinated into the new way of doing things. We all know that "facts" don't matter. The owner of the web site says so. LOL

I have a feeling that there are just a few really loud people that are the ones who caused the problems. THe majority of FReepers are great people. Without them I never would have learned HTML, basic FReeping, and countless opinions on various issues.
If the FReepers who leave find somewhere to hang out that they like better, I hope they let me know where it is so I can check it out.

The people you are talking about will drop off pretty quick, or they will have their threads removed to the religion forum.
Remember what we went through during the 2000 primaries? Pretty much the same thing. It got so bad I thought it was going to break the back of the forum. It didn't though, because the good people took a break and came back and fought for it....and won.
This is a heavy press by them to take this forum, not realizing that if they do, it becomes nothing. The most important thing about FR is that it is such an interesting cross section of the country with some of the most intelligent posters to be found anywhere. That's what it will get back to when there is other news to post.

Oh, no, DOCTORS remain in FIRST position! I married one! Thank goodness, then; the world hasn't changed too much. If I didn't have The Count already...LOL. just kidding. I definitely married up.
To: Peach
I just wandered over to some of the other threads and discovered that the crazies have not found their marbles yet. :-)

That's cool, I completely understand feeling that it is a waste of time to try to convince some people of your opinions. That's definitely hard.
As I've said on this thread before, I'm just too stubborn to leave!
