Every now and then the '60's holdovers up here in Maine do a protest outside the base gate. It's always a fun time seeing the parade of cars going onto the base with the one-finger salute out.

A more pathetic and loser-looking group you cannot imagine.

Not on this thread, but I have on others. I have always tried to maintain civility when doing doing so, but have been blasted for disagreeing. Nobody sent me any hatemail, though.

I believe I saw a thread posted by someone who has been here for about a year, saying basically what this thread says. He was immediatley pounced on as a newbie, and he had no basis for his argument, and I believe the poor guy was banned. Crazy.

The controller has too many buttons and doohickies IMO.

I tried Halo, which my 35 year-pld son raves on about...couldn't even get off the transport ship in the opening sequence.

I've "killed" everybody...just hear the loud cadenced warning sound (like in the Alien movies), but alas, I'm unable to find a way out of there. Just smoke and dead monsters and that damned buzzer sounding.

Turned it off and never plugged it in again.

You know what's funny? I figured that, since a certain nameless poster has been all over the forum trashing those on this thread, and since he's been "hunting" us, I'd check out HIS posts.

It would appear that he's obsessed with those on this thread. Almost all of his posts mention us.

It makes you wonder about that question we've all been asking...just what is it about wanting to discuss this matter with dignity and reason BOTHERS so many people so?

I've pretty much limited my posting to this thread. The rest of the forum is simply too crazy right now. If I do finally end up staying on FR, I'll probably wait a few weeks before going on other threads.

I know this may sound silly, but this whole thing really upsets me. I love FR. I love the FReepers even if I don't agree with them or they with me. I just love that normally we are all united for a common cause- defeating liberalism. It really breaks my heart that this has divided us as a group.
