Sadly, I must agree with you. I used to really like WND, but it has become a joke.
"Does the poster expect us to believe"
...that her parents who seeing her constantly during this time didn't notice? That the medical monitors that were most likely on her at the time didn't pick up a thing?
Pretty good.
Same with you, I hope?
You must have missed that daily thread that had the picture of her on the cross.
So, should we just stay here and link other threads that we might see to this page?
If so, I'll use the big ping list to let everybody know where we are.
Oh
My
God.
I Read that yesterday. In fact, I think I sent it to you. LOL.
Ella,
Weren't smites the result of Old Testament curses.
Thanks...I just read your link.
I tried and couldn't find it.
That is it!
When I heard DeLay say this, I about leaped at the TV.
My sincere thanks.
I think so. I'm using this thread as Sanity Base today.
Welll, I reckon.
I am NOT going to stick around very long today.
As Peach noted, I have revised my Easter plans too.
Need to brave the shoppers at Ralph's before Noon my time.
I see your points but disagree.
This is a major change in our society and will affect each and every one of us and our children.
We now have state sponsored initiation of death for a person when her family is begging to care for her. We have also changed the criteria for this state sponsored death and what is needed for it to occur.
- Not brain dead any longer, now PVS, and, in addition, now PVS with questionable status of PVS due to responses from victim.
- No absolute proof required, now hearsay accepted. Of course this is according to the law but is a major step forward to a loss of our individual rights.
- We are now subject to the judgement of others as to whether we be allowed to live or not as they removed the sanctity of life standard.
- We are now ruled by the courts without any overall honor for life - a major change.
Many disagree with federal involvement but I ask where do we go for help when a state is taking the life of a loved one against the wishes of the family members? How else to we have a resource for help?
One possible (though weird) option might be to write a law.
If the state is initiating death for an individual, the first step must be to move the individual to a state not having the same law allowing death. (Instead of appeal, the person is first moved out of the state jurisdiction into a state allowing life if desired). This provides opportunity for life for the individual and avoids bringing in the federal government.
When no state available allowing life, then we are back to where we are now - federal redress.
OK, I admit that might be going a little too far.
It reminds me of a sketch on SNL somebody told me about, which I didn't see, during the heyday of "Jesus is my bofriend" music, where some chickie singer, I guess generally supposed to represent Amy Grant is sitting at the piano singing a love song to Jesus and they have him in front of her actually hanging on a cross....
I missed it, too.
Mercifully
I swear; just like the one of Jesus, only it had Terri painted in; it looked like every picture of Jesus on the cross you're ever seen in your life.
I stand aghast.
Smote was, and it's the past tense of smites. :)
I think I tried to forget that........LOL. Thanks for reminding me. :-)
